Hopefully she doesn't become the meal, I hope we don't even get close enough to the Volturi for them to even find out about Bella.

"Grace can we go shopping for a
dress"Alice smiles at me

"Why Alice , what would I need it for" I question her

"Let's just say I have a hunch that you'll need it" Alice wiggles her eyebrows

"Oh no , no no no!" I roll my eyes

"Oh yes yes yes , you're going to prom Grace" Alice says smiling

"I can't just stay here with Carlisle and Esme ?"
I plead
"Oh absolutely not Grace you're going to prom this year, you'll love it" Alice instructs
I look at Carlisle and Esme for help on this, prom seems miserable.

Carlisle chuckles "Don't look at us , come on Grace just go, it'll be your first".
"I'm sure you'll enjoy it my sweetheart" Esme chimes in

I smile widely, I love when she calls me that. "Fine I'll go , just for you guys though."
"Rosalie come on , let's go." I lock our arms together and kiss her cheek , she shakes her head smiling.

Emmett smirks " Hope you enjoy your self, and maybe you can do your nails."
I stick my middle finger up, as Emmett knows I'm not the girly girl type.
They all chuckle at my attitude.

"Well lets go before she changes her mind" Rosalie says happily

We speed outside to Alice's car.

"What about this one, it's cute I think" Rosalie scans me
Alice squints "Hm I'm not sure, do a spin for me Grace"
I spin gracefully striking a pose at the end

Alice shakes her head " I don't really like it, it doesn't compliment your face very well"
Rosalie nods "It also doesn't hug your curves like it should"

"Here try this" Rosalie says picking up a cross back yellow dress.

I grimace "I'm disgusted this is hideous Rosalie , yellow is not my color"
Rosalie exhales "Just try it on Racy , I just want to see how it looks on you"

"If we don't like it you can always put on something else" Alice reasons
I amble back into the dressing room to put o the yellow dress.

I walk out and Alice squints her eyes then shakes her head "Yeah , I don't like and I knew that I wouldn't."

Rosalie rolls her eyes "Seriously?! Well I like it Racy , I think it looks nice on you"
Alice smiles "Well you need something that looks perfect and we need to love it not like it so try this"

I pick up a dress and Alice lights up , something is telling me that she's seen this before. I shrug it off and walk into the dressing room to try it on.

I walk out and Rosalie freezes in a trance, I hope that's a good thing.
Alice smiles brightly "Yes , I love it! You're so wearing that to the prom."

I turn to look in the mirror and I love what I see. It's a light blue satin ,A -line sleeveless off the shoulder sweep train with a little ruffles.
I let out a high pitch scream joyfully and embrace them both. We all laugh together , now these are moments I truly live for.

As I'm in the bed I hear Alice and Jasper going at it , I turn up my tv trying so desperately to drown them out . I'm happy for them I really am but hearing my siblings engage in sex is not on my to do list.

My phone rings, I pick it up noticing it's Mia, "Hey what's going on" I say hearing sniffles

"Is it okay if I come over or we meet up somewhere , I could really use your presence to brighten up my day"

"What happened Mia" I say firmly

She cries harder "I'll tell you when i see you"

My heart aches "Meet me at the diner"

"Okay" she hangs up

I get up and speed to the diner, I didn't feel like using my car, plus I needed to get there before her.
I wait for Mia and I see Chief Swan sitting at the table next to me.

I greet him and he hugs me , "it's nice seeing you Grace. Uh just be safe and stay out of the woods, wouldn't want you to get hurt"

"You too Chief Swan" I smile

If only he knew that he's the one that would be hunted not me.

Mia enters the diner and I get up and immediately give her the biggest embrace.
"Can we take a walk, I don't really wanna be in front of other people right now"

"Sure of course" we link arms leaving the diner.

I look at her concerned "So whats going on with you?"
"My mom was attacked by an animal in the woods"Mia looks down
"But she's okay right, she's going to be fine right?" I say nervously

Mia looks up " Grace she didn't make it , her body was dismembered and she was drained of blood. My mother is gone" tears fill her eyes

" I'm sorry for your loss , I myself am at a loss of words to explain this tragedy" I look down

Mia grabs my hand "Its okay Grace because I'm going to talk to Chief Swan to see if I can help him investigate these animal attacks"

I look up quickly "I beg your pardon?"

She exhales " Grace I don't think these are animals doing this , it seems deeper than that"
I feel a rush of terror come over me "Mia you're scaring me."

"Everything's going to be fine once I get to the bottom of this."

"I believe in you" I hug and patted her back

If she founds out vampires are real the Volturi will murder her and Chief Swan, I can't let this happen. There's still time , and hopefully I can change her mind. She can never know I've been lying to her . She'd never talk to me again, and it wouldn't matter because they'd kill her.

It frightens me to think about this but I knew this day would come.
