Chapter 4

I hop on Jasper's back and he runs around in circles. It was pretty pointless but I just wanted to play with my brother, Rosalie and Carlisle are playing with the bat and Alice is just watching us happily.

Edward and Bella arrive and I hop down from Jasper's back . I run to hug Bella picking her up , she chuckles.

"You're playing baseball with us?" I say excitedly
Bella shakes her head"Uh I'm not really the sporty type"

Esme comes hugs her "Well it's okay , I'm glad that you're here, we need an umpire"
I playfully roll my eyes
Emmett laughs  "She thinks we cheat"

"I know you cheat, call em as you see em Bella"Esme pats her back

Bella gives a small smile "Okay"

Emmett and I wrestle a bit until we notice the game is about to start, I walk to the line to bat and I hear the thunder.

Alice gives a small nod "It's time". Alice throws the balls shortly after.
Rosalie hits the ball hard earning a reaction out of Bella.
"I see why you need the thunder" she says slightly amazed
As Rosalie darts for a home run, Edward briskly runs for the ball.

"That's gotta be a home run right" Bella says to Esme

Esme replies shaking her head slightly "Edward's really fast."

Just after she says that , Edward throws the ball back, Esme immediately catches it.
"Come home Rosalie" Carlisle excitedly gestures
As Rosalie slides home Esme touches her with the ball.

"You're out" Bella says
Emmett hoots "Wheww Out" he then notices Rosalie staring Bella down bitterly "Come on babe it's just a game"

Rosalie gets up slowly mean mugging Bella , making her uncomfortable. She then walks past her .

Carlisle smiles "Nice kitty"
I nudge her shoulder and she laughs , she is something else.

Alice throws the ball again and Carlisle hits it hard and quick.

Carlisle runs for a home run, Edward and Emmett see the ball coming and leap for it in unison, only to collide and fall to the ground laughing.

Carlisle makes it home, Jasper gets ready to bat , Alice smiles at him.
Jasper hits the ball and makes a run for second base , Emmett climbs up a tree , catches the ball and throws it back when he drops down.

Rosalie smiles "My monkey man"

Alice throws the ball once more and I hit it so hard Esme's hair blows in her face , as I make a run for 2nd base Alice looks alarmed.
She then looks at Edward "Stop"

Edward looks at me after immediately reading Alice's mind , I give him a look of fear , not for me but for Bella.
I listen and hear 3 vampires on their way over to us.  We run take off running towards Bella to protect her from what might happen.

Alice comes up to Edward "They we're leaving then they heard us"
Edward grabs Bella "Let's go"
Carlisle stops him "it's too late"

Edward looks alarmed "Get your hair down"
Bella immediately pulls her hair down.

I scoff "Like that'll help"
Rosalie chimes in "I can smell her from across the field"
The three vampires arrive looking as menacing as ever.
