Chapter 5

Bella walks out of her house and hurries into her truck with a suitcase.

She drives off quickly, James is in the woods I can smell him. I run after Bella's truck , Edward hops in from the side door.
Emmett and I hop on the back of her truck while Alice drives behind us.

During this chaos and mayhem, I think of Mia and wonder what she's doing now. Is she okay, I mean I know my life's hectic, but she needs me and I can't be there for her like she needs me to be . I hope she doesn't perceive me as a horrible friend. Well I'll cross that bridge when I get there, right now my priority is to protect Bella.

We pull up to our house, Emmett and I hop out of Bella's truck. Edward kisses my forehead and smiles at me, he must've read my thoughts.

Edward takes Bella inside , I walk up and speed in as soon as I see Laurent . Carlisle raises his hand to Edward and I.
"Wait , he came to warn us, about James."

Laurent shakes his head "This isn't my fight and I've grown tired of his games, but he's got unparalleled senses absolutely lethal. I've never seen anything like him in my 300 years , and the woman Victoria, don't underestimate her"
Laurent gives a warningly look at makes his way out of the door slamming it slightly.

We make our way to the garage immediately, Bella is no longer safe in Forks for right now.
I don't know where we're going to go but she can't stay here, we can't stay here .

I walk up with Jasper and Emmett, Jasper looks alert
"I've had to fight her kind before , they're not easy to kill" He says to Emmett and I
I look at him "But not impossible"
Emmett looks at me and grins "We'll tear em apart and burn the pieces"
Emmett and I both enjoy fights especially unpredictable ones , if I didn't know any better, I'd say we were siblings in our past lives.

"I don't relish the thought of killing another creature,even a sadistic one like James"Carlisle says firmly.

Rosalie looks slightly angered "What if he kills one of us first"
We ignore her because now isn't the time for immature dislikes.

Edward looks at Carlisle "I'm gonna run Bella South, can you lead the tracker away from here?"

I shake my head at the bad idea and Carlisle says "No Edward , James knows you'd never leave Bella , he'll follow you"

"I'll go with Bella , Grace,Jasper and I will drive her South"Alice looks at Edward
"We'll keep her safe Edward" I say looking into his eyes sensing his fear of her getting hurt."

Edward looks hesitant " Can you keep your thoughts to yourself"
Alice grabs Bella "Yes" her and Bella walk to the car.

"Rosalie, Esme , can you put this on so the tracker can pick up Bella's scent." Edward says throwing them Bella's clothing
"Why , what is she to me?" Rosalie glares at us
Edward looks at her a little saddened.

I look at her surprised "Rosalie be mature we don't have time for this , Edward's with Bella , she's apart of this family now"

Carlisle hands her back Bella's clothes "And we protect our family"
"Rosalie grabs the clothes roughly and goes to with Emmett to their car"
I get in the car with Bella and sit next to her.

Edward leans down to Bella who's in the car shaking a little.

She looks into his eyes "Oh god if Anything... What if... If anything happens I swear to god"

Edward looks in her eyes cutting her off "Nothing's going to happen, there's eight of us and there's two of them, and when everything's done I'll come back and get you."

Bella slows her breathing "yeah"

Edward grabs her hand "Bella you are my life now, he caresses her cheek and then we pull off shortly after.
