Jungkook POV

Running a hand through my hair, I sigh softly to myself as I stand up from my desk now that class is over. I begin to make my towards the back of the classroom where the door is for everyone to exit, though I don't get far before I hear my name being called by our professor. Groaning quietly under my breath, I squeeze my eyes shut as I let my head fall back in frustration. It's lunch time and all I want to do is go get some food from the dining hall, and the lines are all going to be longer than what the food is worth if I don't leave now and hurry.

However, I know better than to leave the classroom on this particular professor, making me grumble quietly under my breath as I turn around and walk against the flow of everyone so that I can make my way back up to him. I stuff my hands in my pockets, ignoring the fact that I didn't particularly want to get back into the habit of not eating more than one meal a day. I've not done that since I graduated from high school, and I've made a serious effort to get back in the habit of having decent sized lunches and dinners.

Brushing the thoughts aside, I head up to my professor, stopping in front of his desk.

"Jungkook, you're grades in this class aren't doing well at all. You're failing my class right now." He informs me quietly. I bite my lip, nodding my head as I keep my gaze on the top of his desk.

"Do you even care about my class anymore, Jungkook? I don't care to have people attending my class just to waste my time." He questions with a frown. I swallow hard, wishing I had Taehyung right now to curl into as I nod my head, just wanting his comfort right now.

"Yes, Sir. I care very much about my grades and this class. I'm trying hard to keep up with the homework and learn the material well enough for the exams." I answer quietly, feeling like I'm getting belittled by my own professor right now.

"The only thing that backs up that statement is your attention during the class hours, Jungkook. You're grades would argue otherwise." He responds with a frown. I take a deep breath, trying to stay calm about the matter and not get all worked up.

"Sir, I swear I'm trying my hardest. I'm just not understanding the material enough to be able to perform as well on the homework's and exams." I insist softly, still not lifting my gaze up to meet his. He sighs, taking his glasses off as he runs a hand through his thinning hair. The room falls painfully silent for a moment, scaring me even more than before.

"I'm going to give you one chance, Jungkook, to prove to me that you care about this class. Understand?" He finally speaks up, causing me to snap my fearful gaze up to his. I nod my head immediately, desperately not wanting to fail this class. I had even chosen this class because it was an optional class and I thought it'd be really interesting. And, while it's certainly proved to be interesting, it's also proven to be a pain in the ass with how difficult it is.

"I want you to come in early tomorrow. I'll have worksheets for you when you arrive. There'll be a decent amount, but it'll break the work and material down a bit more than what's done in class. I'm giving you a week to get all of it done though, from when I give it to you tomorrow. If you're late at all on any of the worksheets, you won't get any of the credit and I'll be removing you from my class." He informs me with another sigh. I can't help it as my lips part in surprise, nodding my head slowly as the information begins to gradually sink in.

"Thank you, Sir. I really appreciate the opportunity. I won't disappoint." I tell him quietly, my voice nearly a whisper as I speak. He simply nods and waves me off, dismissing me from his presence finally.

With that, I turn and finally make my way to exiting the classroom. I sigh softly once I'm out, ruffling my hair with both hands as I make my way towards the exit of the building all together. I'm beyond anxious right now and I'm extremely worried with the rate at which things are deteriorating right now. This is the second day in a row I've missed lunch, which hopefully means no fights, and now my grades are slowly beginning to get rocky. The last thing I want is not to make it in my major, to disappoint everyone around me by not making it.

Groaning quietly to myself as I stuff my hands in my pockets, I just wanna go home and cuddle with Taehyung again, remembering just how good it felt to be all curled up with him this morning and last night.
