there's nothing i hate more than paparazzi.

they follow you around all day just to ask the same useless questions they've asked countless times before.

"sofia! are you gonna go down the acting path like your father did?"

"what's it like being a celebrity child?"

"do you find it hard living in the spotlight?"

the disrespect these people have for us. why do you care so much about our lives? maybe start caring a bit more about yours instead.

i sighed in frustration as a pack of camera bearing demons ran towards me. i had gone out for a couple of things and i was too tired to deal with these people today. i pushed my chanel sunglasses up the bridge of my nose so my eyes were completely covered by them. i picked up my speed as my previous casual strut turned into a speed walk.

"sofia! sofia dicaprio!"

i rolled my eyes through my glasses as the men advanced towards me, and i gave up trying to outrun them.

"sofia! how are you doing on this lovely day in los angeles?" one man asked me, shoving his camera in my face.

"fine," i responded curtly, not looking at the camera and walking forward. just keep walking and they'll go away.

"you don't seem to be fine," the man persisted, while the rest of his pack quietly laughed behind him.

"did you know that it's illegal to film people without their consent?" i challenged the man filming me.

"is it really?" a super tall dude behind the man filming me asked jokingly.

"yup, i could call the police right now and have you all arrested," i said, finally stopping in my tracks and turning around to face the little creeps. i pulled out my phone and waved it in their faces, "just one call and they'll be on their way. unless you stop following me of course," i explained smugly, pulling my sunglasses down to the bridge of my nose and giving a small smirk.

the men just stared at me for a few seconds before the man filming me pulled his camera out of my face. "let's go everyone," he said to his little minions, and they quickly walked down the street, turning back to look at me every couple seconds.

morons.

i quietly laughed to myself as i turned around and continued to walk down the streets of the city. i tried my best to ignore people staring at me as i put my shopping bags in the backseat of my car where my dad was waiting in the passenger seat. he had to go to a meeting for his new movie once upon a time in hollywood so he went out with me.

"hey sweetie, what took you so long?" my dad asked as i got into the drivers seat and started the car. dad got me a car for my 16th birthday since i had passed my driver's test.

"paps," i rolled my eyes as i started the car and drove out onto the street. "ugh okay," my dad said, i could tell he was mad that paparazzi would even come near me when i was alone. he's always been super protective of me and whenever there are paps around he always makes sure i'm not uncomfortable or nervous.

"movie night tonight?" my dad asked as i drove back to our house through the l.a. traffic.

my dad and i have been doing movie night every week for a while now. since he's so busy with his acting and his environmental work, it's hard for us to find time to spend together. we decided that since we both love movies so much, we could bond by watching them together.
