The Way We Were Then

Part 3

"How were you in love with me? Me?"
"How could I not be? You are simply amazing Ladybug." She blushed severely through her tears.
"I im so sorry." She said.
"..." he sighs. "Do you have any idea how hard my life was after we found out who Hawkmoth was?"
"... no... what happened" she wiped her nose.
"well, let's just say I knew him"
"You knew Gabriel Agreste?"
"Yeah... very well actually" he turns his cheek and sighs as it starts to lightly rain.
"I knew his son." Ladybug said. "I knew his son Adrien from school"
"Really?" Chat said. "Did you actually know him?"
"Yes. More than I think he knows or ever will. I know that he is hurting every day, from what his father did to him and put him through. I know that he is one of the kindest boys I've ever met. I know that when he laughs, there is a little bit of pain inside him. I know that he is such a great friend with a sincere heart." Ladybug sighs. "The thing is he'll never know how I think of him, and I'll never know what he thinks of me—chat?"
"You really like him."
"Yes... I do but he'll never see me. How could anyone see me?"
Chat noir's eyes start to water as he looks into Ladybugs ever confused ones. He takes her hand and the rain lightly falls on there back and heads.
"Please Ladybug. Just tell me who you are."
"Chat..."
"Please"
"... we've been out here for a while. My kwamii needs to recharge. We will talk soon. I have to get ready for my first day of school tomorrow. Bye cha—what are you doing?!"
He grabbed her by the waist and leaned over her. Their faces were two inches apart.
"Something I've been wanting to do for a very long time." He kissed her. Ladybug did not expect to enjoy it at all, but something inside her did not let her resist his lips at any cost.
       It was perfect to him. It was everything he had ever dreamed of. My god she is beautiful. He slid his tongue into her mouth and arched her back so her hips met his. She suddenly wrapped her legs around his waist but took a breath of air that made his heart melt and his attraction to her grew with more magnitude. He held her up by her butt (which he was not complaining about) and kissed her neck softly with the drops of rain dripping from her chin and downwards. They took a breather. When chat was kissing her she felt like it was electric. Every time their lips touched she wanted more and more. But she did not know where these feelings were coming from. All she knew was that somehow, everything was perfect. She leaned in to kiss him and feels his arm muscles. As their lips touched another time, their miraculouses started to beep.
Out of breath, ladybug said. "I should probably get going." But those same muscular arms stopped her from leaving. "Please don't go"
        It was at that moment they both started to detransform at the exact same time. Marinette closed her eyes and didn't want to peak.
"Don't look at me! Chat why did you have to do this!?"
"Can I please open my eyes buggaboo?"
"... I guess it's fine. It doesn't matter anymore anyways... on the count of three"
"One"
"Two"
"Three"
     Those same gorgeous green and blue bell eyes stared into each other again.... just with no masks.
"Marinette!" He hugged her so tightly it almost squeezed her lungs out. But she did the same to him so it didn't matter. They started to cry a tiny bit but talked for an hour about how stupid they were for not realizing that they were right next to each other all along.
"I can finally see the entire face of my beautiful buggaboo" Marinette blushed.
"Don't you mean princess?" Marinette said.
"Now you are both mine" he said and winked. She pinned him down which took him by surprise.
"I think I just may have fallen in love with a cat"
She kissed him once again.
     The two were in the rain again indeed, but this time there was no need for an umbrella. Right now, they knew they were made for each other. But this is only the beginning of a long love story to come.
