I DIDN’T NOTICE THAT I WAS ASLEEP FOR the pass minutes. I was awoken by the sound of the chimes, the air blowing my hair. What’s up with the chime? Forests had no chimes, and I felt I’m lying on a soft bed. That thought made me leaped off from the lying position. I quickly opened my eye and I was in a room. It was a light and a simple room and mostly decorated with antique things and woods.

“Where am I?” I asked, I was still a bit dizzy and then heard footsteps coming in. I saw Samantha Parks with her curled hair while dressing up like a cowgirl.

“Don’t move.” She said drawing near me. She drew nearer and looked at my arm. “You were bleeding awhile ago.” She said wondering and examining my arm, I grabbed it softly away from her.

“It’s just nothing. Why am I here?”

“Well, my brother and I were hiking and we live near the forest so we are searching for wild animals to cook.” She said, I stared at her in shock and then she laughed.

“You think? What a fool!” She laughed again. “I’m a normal human, Lawrence! Ha!”

“I’m sorry then if I was too over reacting.” I said turning to look at the window with chimes, good she doesn’t know anything me being a werewolf or about those vampires.

“So, umm...” She said while biting her lip. “I heard what happened to you and Gail.” Why do people always let me remember about her? I didn’t want to talk about it so I ignored her and stood up from the bed ready to walk away letting her know in that way that I don’t like talking about her.

“I’m sorry.” She said while stopping me and let me remain in bed. “Just sit there I made hot chocolate and baked cookies.”

I looked at her blankly without any words.

“Please?” She begged and I don’t want to hurt her for refusing the hot chocolates and yes I am hungry. I just fought with the bears I didn’t eat any of them, I sat back just as what she said and then she went outside the room excitedly preparing.

“Can I just go with you? I don’t want to be bored in here.” I asked.

“Yeah, sure, you could drink and eat at the dining room.” She said smiling and happily so I stood up from the bed and followed her.

Their house was all made up of antique things and it was also beautiful. “So where’s your brother?” I asked when we were in the dining room and sat on one of the chairs while she was preparing the hot chocolate and cookies.

“He went to work. He goes to work whole morning while I am left here at home on weekends.” I nodded at her and she was already preparing the food on the table and I helped her too.

“So let’s eat.” She said after the food was prepared already.

“Yeah, sure,” I responded. When we were already eating, we were silent and I didn’t feel well that much to talk to her.

“So, uhhhh, how’s my cooking?” She said with effort trying to make a long talk.

“Well, you’re good.” I said, and yeah, she is good at cooking.

“Really?” Her face was enlightened and happy as I said those words. “You can come over every day; I’m going to cook for you.”

I placed the tea spoon on the mug and stared at her questionably for along moment like saying ‘what do you mean?’

“Oh, umm, I love cooking and, umm, I want someone to test it! Yes!” She said enthusiastically.

I returned drinking the hot chocolate and answered her, “Other time maybe.” I said playing with the mug and remembering in times like this I play with Abigail’s hair. She was supposed to answer but Abigail’s picture clouded up my mind and was causing a deep pain.
