“LAWRENCE HEATHER—

I WAS ON MY BED ON A SITTING POSITION crossing my legs while reading a book “Legend” when my telephone rang. I stretched my hand to pick up the telephone and answer it; it is above the side table beside my bed.

“Hello?” I said placing the telephone over my ear and holding it with my shoulder while flipping through the book’s pages.

“Lawrence?” A woman on the phone screamed nervously. The voice was familiar, oh, I remember its Abigail’s mom. But what was wrong? Why is she nervous? What happened?

“Yes, Mrs. Green? What’s wrong?” I said calmly while closing the book focusing on our talk.

“Ab… Abi…” She was cutting on her words; she was already in panic so I continued her sentence.

“What? What happened to Abigail?” I was tensed and I jumped off the bed. I ran down stairs.

“She was kidnapped.” She said screaming and her voice was in pain. “Please help me, Lawrence. Bring her back to me safely! A letter was left it says it was for you, we didn’t open it, please come here.”

“I will, Mrs. Green. Dad and I will be there in a minute.” Then we both hanged up and as I was screaming calling for dad. The rest of the family except for Amber went down to see if I was okay.

“What’s wrong, Lawrence?” Mom said while I was out of myself moving everywhere and anywhere. “Calm down, Lawrence.” Then mom held my face with both of her hands. “What happened to Abigail?” She said slowly as if talking to a preschooler.

“She’s been kidnapped.” I said while avoiding meeting her gaze. Then she hugged me tightly as a mother. “Thank you, Mom.” Helga tapped my back too and Hector was feeling my pain until dad was there and asked.

“Let’s go?” At that moment mom let go of me and kissed me in the forehead and wished a good luck. I thanked her again including my siblings then I walked away heading to dad.

As we run through the car I was really out of my mind and never talked. I was too tensed because for all of that I know no one would kidnap Abigail except the vampires. But how come they returned right now if Amber’s vision says they’ll come after five months? We were so prepared to fight if they had come long, but this time it already involves the woman that I love. After minutes of thinking, I noticed that we were at Abigail’s home.

“Come on out, Lawrence.” Dad said walking out of the car. As we were there I noticed a very sweet scent which burned my nostrils and made me cover it.

“They did come here.” I said as soon as I was familiar with the scent. That thought made me snarl but dad stopped me and Mrs. Green went out from the house and asked us to come in.

“Oh, thank God dear, Mr. Heather!” As Mrs. Green said with relief in her tone, then after a minute Uncle John and Aunt Florence went out of the house too.  Dad and I greeted them respectfully and modestly and spoke.

“We are in hurry for the search, Mrs. Green, we just need the letter.” Father said respectfully and then Mrs. Green went in the house for awhile. After seconds she returned bringing an envelope with a very elegant writings on it. She handed us the letters and then waved our goodbye.

“Thank you, Mrs. Green.” I said while nodding respectfully.

“No, thank you Lawrence; for bringing her back to me.” Her words pressured me for she was so sure that I can bring her back. I was so speechless so I just responded with a smile and then went back to the car. What if I can’t bring her back? I asked while I was sitting thinking of many possibilities. No! I can bring her back, even if it takes to risk my own life.
