They sat back down at the table, and Virgil cleared his throat. "So.... is this like.... a forever thing?"
"What do you mean?" Logan asked, confused.
"Like, am I a Plastic now?"
"What's a Plastic?"
".........that's you guys...."
Roman seemed hurt. "Who calls us that?"
"Well, that's what Derril and Anatol called you."
He sneered. "Of course they did."
Virgil rubbed his temples. "Could someone please explain to me what the hell is going on?! Why do Anatol and Derril hate you guys, and why do you hate them?"
Logan sighed. "Could you come over to my house after school? We'll explain then. Right now, the bell's-" He was cut off by the bell ringing. "-about to ring. Meet me at the front gate after school." He stood and left.
"Alright then....." Virgil stood and went off to his class. Roman went to his, and Patton went with him. Virgil guessed they had their next class together.
As Virgil sat down in his usual spot, someone grabbed his arm. He jumped a bit and turned to see who it was. It was Derril. "What the hell, man?! You scared me!"
"Sorry. But seriously, what the fuck is going on??? You haven't called or texted me or Anatol at all!"
"My mom took my phone away. I only got it back this morning." That wasn't a lie. But, honestly, even if he did have his phone, he wouldn't have texted him or Ana. He was busy abusing himself.
"Okay, fine. But you have to tell us everything. Are you free today after school?"
Virgil shook his head. "Too much homework," He lied.
"Do it later."
"My mom will get mad."
"Ugh, fine, tomorrow at snack?"
"Hanging out with the Plastics."
"Tomorrow after school???!" He was getting desperate.
"Sure."
"Oh, thank god, I was getting tired of spitting out dates."
~later that day~
After school, Virgil met the Plastics at the from gate as planned. Roman smiled as he walked up and took his hand when he was close enough.
Logan glanced down at their intertwined hands for a minute, looked up at Roman, confused, and then shrugged and moved on. They walked to what Virgil assumed was Logan's car.
It was a sleek black car that resembled Roman's slightly, but look a bit more worn down and cheap.
Patton had called shotgun, so he sat in front while Roman and Virgil sat in the back. He still hadn't let go of his hand, but Virgil didn't mind.
He had given his mom a heads up that he was going to a "classmates house to study." She bought the lie, and he was safe.
Patton put his hand on Logan's hand, which had been on the gearshift.
"We should go to my house instead," Patton said.
"Are-are you sure?" Logan's face was bright red.
Patton nodded and pulled his hand away.
"Uhm-okay."
Logan pulled up to the driveway and they walked into what Virgil assumed was Patton's house, but he wasn't 100% sure.
