Leanne's POV

I walked back inside the dorm, the words from the article still ran through my mind, I could get caught right now and I'm absolutely not down for that. I'm dating one of the Seventeen members and only 2 out of the other 12 know !

"Leanne !" I turned around to look at who called me. "About time you started paying attention, goodness. Anyways, did you see the articles about you ?" Seungkwan asked me and I only nodded.

"Are you okay ? You seem sad." He asked but I couldn't answer.

"Did you guys not see the other article ?" Jeonghan oppa asked and I looked up and they shook their heads. I pulled out my phone to see if the article was still there and sure enough, it was. I gave my phone to them and they gathered around it. After reading through it, they all put their hands over their mouths.

"Oh no Leanne." DK said as he hugged me, followed by the rest of the group.

"I just feel so bad. I feel like I'm ruining your reputation right now, I can't even believe this is happening. I'm so sorry." I said and they hugged me tighter.

"It's okay, it'll all be fixed in no time." I heard Woozi say and I nodded.

"Thank you and I'm sorry." I said.

"Seventeen, can we gather for a second ? Leanne, stay there." I heard S. Coups say and I nodded because what else would I respond with ? I looked at them and they were all huddled up, I wonder what they're talking about. I shrugged it off and just waited until I heard some gasps and cheering. I looked at them and they only smiled at me so I smiled back, confused on why they were looking at me but anyways, yeah, that happened.

"I'm gonna go to sleep, someone wake me up when we go to the interview tomorrow ! Good night !" I said and they all said good night back.

I walked into my room and changed into pajamas and got ready to go to bed. As I laid there, I heard the door open so I looked to see who it was.

"Jeonghan oppa ? Why are you here ?" I asked.

"We still need to talk." He said and I nodded, remembering that he asked to in the car.

"What'd you want to talk about ?" I asked, sitting up in my bed and patted the space next to me but he refused.

"I won't be too long, I just wanted to say, we should break up." At that moment, my heart just stopped. I felt tears start to form in my eyes.

"W-What do you mean ? I-it's only been a week." I said, I started to curl up my fists.

"I just think it'll be better for the company and for us both, it's not right for us to keep it a secret." He said. "This was also a test for me, to see if I could be able to focus on my work along with you but I couldn't. I'm sorry Leanne." He said and I unclenches my fists. I understand why but it was so sudden.

"I understand, you can leave now." I said and he nodded, making his way out of my room. I laid down flat in my bed and sighed, letting all the tears that I tried to keep in flow out. I flipped myself over to my stomach and started to scream into my pillow, no one but me could hear it. I tried to release my anger in some other way but I couldn't, I didn't know how to release my anger other than throwing things and that barely made a difference.

"What to do, what to do, what to do." I said to myself and then I eyed my keyboard against the wall. I grabbed a notebook and pen and brought it with me to the keyboard. I started playing random notes until I started making a melody. I wrote down the sequences, notes, everything on a piece of paper and continued to do this.

This continued the whole entire night, me just creating melodies while also getting up from time to time to do some dances and then sitting back down to continue.

-the next day-

Minghao's POV

I woke up pretty early, I don't know, I just felt like it. It honestly wasn't that early, it's literally 8 am. Anyways, I decided to check on the other members along with Leanne to see if any of them were awake. None of them members were awake except for me so I went to Leanne's room.

I opened the door to see her head laid down on the keyboard with a bunch of papers around her. I picked up the papers and saw notes and random letters, probably something only Leanne could understand. I looked at her and she looked dead, it looks like she just went to sleep like half an hour ago and it's already 8am. I looked at her and she looked so tired and it looks like there were tear stains on her cheeks. I picked her up and put her in her bed.

"Please stay." I heard her say as I was about to leave and I couldn't say no so I laid down next to her. She hugged me tightly as if I was her teddy bear.

"Jeonghan oppa... broke up with me." I widened my eyes at the information I just heard. I couldn't gasp and suddenly wake her up. That'd be weird but I was dumbfounded. They dated ? No wonder Jeonghan hyung acted like that yesterday, they were also a lot closer than usual.

I looked at Leanne and she looked so peaceful, despite the dark circles forming under her eyes. I continued to stare at her, someone got to take her before I did, at least she's single again, that means we all have a chance again IF she decides to choose again. I suddenly heard noises from outside, meaning that everyone was starting to wake up, meaning that they were gonna wake up Leanne anytime soon and if they see me like this, I'll never hear the end of it.

I tried to get out of the bed but I was only met with an obstacle when Leanne hugged me more.

"Leanne, they're gonna come in here soon." I said and she opened her eyes. She looked around and looked at me. 

"Oh my god, The8, I'm so sorry, did I bother you ?" She asked me and I smiled.

"No worries." and then I explained to her what happened. She nodded at the things I said.

"Wait, what time even is it?" she asked and I checked my phone.

"8:10 am" I said and she widened her eyes.

"Crap, I've only been asleep for like 20 minutes." She said and I looked at her in shock.

"What'd even happen ?" I asked and her eyes became sad and I realized that what she said was true. "Wait, it's true isn't it ?" I asked and she looked me confused.

"When I was putting you back in your bed, you asked me to stay and then... you said you and Jeonghan hyung broke up." I said and she looked up at me.

"I-it was true, Jeonghan and I dated for a week and he broke up with me last night." She said, tears forming in her eyes. I started to hug her to comfort her as much as I could even though I can't do much. The door suddenly was opened by S. Coups hyung but Leanne kept hugging me, as if she didn't care about what they'll think. I looked at the door to see all the other members at the door.

"Oh, what happened ?" DK asked and I looked at Jeonghan hyung, we both made eye contact and he ended up just walking away, Vernon and Woozi hyung following them. I looked back at the other members and they looked at me for a response.

"She just thought about the article about her dating one of us last night." I said but they looked at me in doubt.

"Why are you in here ?" Jun hyung asked.

"I woke up earlier than all of you guys, I went in here to see that Leanne was awake so I decided to hang out with her for a bit." I said and they nodded. Next thing we know, we hear a thud from downstairs. We all ran down the stairs to check out what happened.
