Vivian's POV

"Bruh why'd you let her sleep ?" Jade kept asking me because we were in an investigation and I kinda just let it happen.

"You should've seen her. Her eyelids were dropping, I wonder what's making her want to sleep so much though. I mean, she can't really do much right now, I'm pretty sure she's still healing."

"She's been working hard on trying to get her legs to work, to make them good as new. That's what she has been doing. She feels bad that she's not able to practice with her group that's debuting soon. Also, we kind of caused her trouble too." Jade and I looked behind us to see a guy, not very familiar to us but we knew he lived here and was a friend of Jihoon's. "I'm Joshua by the way. Sorry for eavesdropping. I just wanted to let you know that Leanne is waking up."

"Oh thank you Joshua. Please send her back down here. We just want to catch up with her again." I said to him, letting him know it was fine because it wasn't anything too personal.

"Okay, no problem." He said as he turned around, about to leave.

"Wait." Jade said before he left, "What do you mean by 'trouble' ? Did you guys overwork her ? Did you make her do stuff even though she's not even able to right now ? Are you guys crazy ?" We watched Joshua hesitantly turn around, when he did, he had a look of worry on his face. I'm not sure why though ? did they do something to Leanie before we came ? What happened ?

"I don't think that should be a topic to be discussed right now. I'll just go check on Leanne. Okay byeee !" Was the last thing we heard before a thud and an "oof."
Leanne's POV

I woke up and I was in my room ? Last thing I remember, I was in the living room with Jade, Vivian, and Jihoon. How in the name of Jesus Christ did I get here ?

"I brought you up if you were wondering." I look to my right to see Jihoon, sitting on a desk writing something.

"Wait, why didn't you guys just wake me up ? I could've stayed for the rest of the investigation." I said to him, a bit annoyed that they let Vivian and Jade leave without letting me say goodbye to them.

"Don't worry, they're still downstairs, if you want I ca-" I instantly cut his words off by getting off of the bed and going straight to the door so I could go downstairs. I was about to start walking down but I heard a little bit of talking so I listened for a bit.

"Wait. What do you mean by 'trouble' ? Did you guys overwork her ? Did you make her do stuff even though she's not even able to right now ? Are you guys crazy ?" I recognize that voice, it's my "mom's." Hehe I love Jade, she's freaking great. Of course she would be over-protective of me. She literally just investigated us because my parents wanted to kill me and I wanted to kill myself. I didn't hear Vivian though which made me a little sad but she probably didn't know how to respond.

"I don't think that should be a topic to be discussed right now. I'll just go check on Leanne. Okay byeee !" Oh, it's josh, coming up to check on me. CRAP ! He's coming up to check on me and I'm literally eavesdropping from the top of the staircase. I started walking downstairs as if I hadn't been listening in. I guess Josh was in a hurry so as I walking down, he was running up and we bumped into each other.

"Oof." Both him and I said at the same time.

"Oh sorry Jisoo, I'll watch my step next time. Okay bye." I used Jisoo instead of Joshua because we're not in good terms so I decided to call him Jisoo.

"Oh don't call me Jisoo ever again. Just keep calling me Joshua like before." My god I feel so guilty right now but I need to keep myself calm and collected. I need to stand my ground.

"Oh, we're close ? never knew, bye Jisoo." I said to him before continuing on my path. I thought he would stop me before I could go any further but he didn't. I'm kind of relieved actually. I just wanted to talk to Vivian and Jade.

"You were listening to our conversation earlier weren't you ?" I looked up to see both of them staring me down, arms crossed.

"Nooo, maybeee, yeaaahhh" I responded, elongating every single word.

"Man, you really haven't changed since 8th grade." Vivian followed with a chuckle.

"I know. Now, tell me how you guys became police officers. Aren't we supposed to be in the same grade ?"

"Yeah, but Vivian and I graduated early so now we're here." Jade said. I was quite surprised ! They used to ask me all the time for help on homework and stuff. Look at where they are now ! Aw I'm proud.

"Pfft, y'all are nerds. Dang and I'm supposed to be the Asian of the friend group." I said, to lighten up the mood a bit more.

"Leanie I swear, stop stereotyping yourself. You'll never fit them, you're literally one of the stupidest Asians I know." I swear Vivian is asking for her death wish right now.

"BRUH ! WHAT THE HECK ? I'M NOT EVEN THAT STUPID !"

"Mhm, and what is your bio grade right now ?" Jade too ? Ohp, they both want to die now huh ?

"IT'S A B+ FREAKING FIGHT ME !!"

"Really ? I'm surprised good job." They both started clapping. I'm upset they underestimated me but hey, it was all for jokes and fun.

"Yeah, das right." We all started laughing and looked back at memories we had back at middle school, those days were so fun. I can't believe how much has changed since then.

"Leanie, sorry but Jade and I have to go. Our boss is calling us for another investigation. Let's catch up again, this Friday at Starbucks at 3:00pm sound good ?"

"Yeah ! I'm down. I'm almost fully healed so it'll be great."

"Yeah and you can tell us what these boys have done to you so I'll know if I can beat their asses or not."

"MOM ! NO !"

"Hehe I'm kidding but we gotta go, see you Friday !"

"See you guys !" I already can't wait for Friday but it's only Sunday. A few more days before I could see them again. I forgot how much I missed them. I wish I could see them all the time.

안영 !! Sorry for slow updates, school has been killing me lately, especially bio (hence the scene in here lol). Anyways, sorry if the chapter was a bit boring. Also, sorry if there's any spelling mistakes because my phone screen has a bunch of black stuff on it so I can't see some of the words I'm typing or what letter I'm clicking on my keyboard.
