chapter two

It was odd. The moment Hoseok had walked into the room, his eyes immediately focused on one person. Him; the dude he was actually arguing with over some instant ramen.

What the fuck could he possibly be doing here? Hoseok questioned, curiosity already taking a hold of him.

Walking over to where the other two were at, Hoseok bowed slightly and offered a “hello,” the person next to him doing the same.

“How are you?” Jungkook inquired, his voice rather enthusiastic. His gaze was settled on the man standing next to Hoseok.

“Good! And you?” the blond replied, a smile pursuing his words. Jin and Jungkook— the two have been friends for some time, now. They had actually met at a park a few years back, and somehow managed to hit it off. Jungkook was... going through it, as he had lost someone close to him around the time they met. Of course, he always made sure to show a positive face and attitude, but Jin had picked up on things. They grew closer overtime and became best friends, but since they, too, got really busy, they don't see each other too often anymore.

Hoseok took a few steps over to where Yoongi was standing, leaning in slightly towards the male. “They're probably going to be awhile.”

Yoongi definitely hadn't expected to see him. Even though their previous encounter was brief, he certainly couldn't forget about his face. What the fuck?

Lost in thought, he hadn't even processed the interaction between Jungkook and Jin, and when the redhead had appeared at his side he had gotten slightly startled.

Whatever came out of Hoseok's mouth, Yoongi hadn't heard a single word.

“Huh..?” he hummed, coming to focus on the other's features. Hoseok simply raised a brow, his eyes studying the younger's appearance. Upon the two making eye contact, he added a soft smirk.

What's with him? Yoongi thought to himself. His lips parted briefly to say something, but since he couldn't find the proper words, he remained silent. He hadn't really picked up on it before, but the redhead seemed to be standing just a little too close to him. Suddenly getting nervous, Yoongi took a step back.

“What’s a kitten like you doing here?” he questioned, once again cocking his head to the side slightly.

Yoongi didn't know where the nickname came from but— it certainly had gotten him a tad flustered.

“What? Cat got your tongue? You d—”

“Stop messing with him, Hobi,” a voice interrupted, the words being laced with light amusement.

“Hm,” was all Hoseok offered in response before turning to face Jin. “What’s it to you?”

“I’d rather you not scare off the photographer.”

Photographer?

“He’s…” he paused momentarily, once again coming to face Yoongi. “a photographer?”

  Jungkook suddenly walked over toward the three, then proceeded to stand next to Hoseok.

“Ah, J-hope,this is Min Yoongi— he's today's photographer.”

“He’s J-hope?” Yoongi questioned, his face displaying a look of disbelief. “There’s no way…”

“Yes way,” Hoseok responded, then held out his hand. “Nice to meet you, Min Yoongi. I'm your hope~.”
