Rosé
In the past week, I've experience the most caring Lisa ever. Alam mo yon? Matutulog ka, katabi mo siya. Gigising kang may breakfast in bed kase pinagluluto ka niya kahit di siya ganon kagaling magluto.
Yung sinusundan ka niya kahit saan ka magpunta para daw sure siyang safe ako. Sweet diba? Minsan nga naisip ko kung baka gusto ko non. Alam ko namang bisexual siya, una pa lang. Kaso three days na siyang di natutulog dito.
"Lisa? San ka galing?" Tanong ko sa kanya. Ngayon lang kase siya umuwi.
"Just somewhere , you don't need to know" Aray naman bes. Nagtatanong lang naman ako. Pero seryoso nasaktan ako don.
"Are you being rude to me right now?" I asked looking down. Di naman niya kase ko ginaganyan eh. First time yata to.
"Yes. And why not? Pupunta ko kung saan ko gusto pumunta Rosé. Uuwi ako kung kailan ko gusto umuwi, it's my condo after all." She really is hurting my feelings right now.
"You don't n-need to be rude. I-I'm just asking" You're right. I'm crying. It's hard to hear those words from her.
"Now you're crying. It won't work on me this time. Do me a favor, can't you leave now? It's taking too long.
Naiinip nakong mawala ka."
That's it. I'm done with her. Paano niya nakayanang sabihin yon?
That night, I decided to leave. Di ko na rin kinuha yung certificate ko from Lisa's dad na magpapatunay na nagtrain ako for a year. Nakakahiya naman kase kay Lisa. Maybe I'm just a burden to her.
Di ako nagpaalam sa kahit kanino sa kanila. Nagmessage lang ako sa Dad ni Lisa. I thanked him for everything. I'm glad di na niya ko tinanong ng kung ano-ano.
"I'll miss you so much Manoban" That's all I can think of the whole flight.
After 6 months.
"Jisoo Unnie? Are you done with your shift?" I asked. I found a friend right after I gave up on my biggest dream. We can't afford the training fees on the largest restaurants here.
"Yes. Magbibihis lang ako, give me 5 minutes."
Kapag tapos niyang magbihis. Umuwi na agad kami. We're living together. Mahal kase bayad kapag mag-isa eh.
My parents decided to go with my Ate in Australia. My father got a job there and they will help her because she wants to finish her study.
Nakakalungkot man pero ganon talaga. I insist na huwag na nila kong alalahanin. Ako na kako bahala sa lahat ng gastusin ko.
"Chaeyoung, there's a delivery for you. Kailangan ikaw daw magreceive at mahalaga daw yon."
Kinuha ko naman agad. Nakaenvelop siya. Baka letter lang to. Pero sino naman magpapadala sakin ng letter diba?
"Bes, ano yan?" Tanong ni Jisoo unnie. Umupo kami medyo kinakabahan ako.
"Let's find out"
Guess what? It's the certificate from the restaurant of Lisa's father. May letter din na kasama.
Dear Chae,
Why did you left your certificate? Don't tell me you forget about your dreams? Don't do that. I always believe in you. Now, accept this. And come back here in Philippines. I am offering you a job. If you receive this letter now, make sure that you'll be here after 3 days because if not, the position will be occupied by then. See you soon Roseanne. We miss you.
It's weird. It's from Lisa's dad but I'm sure it's Lisa's penmanship.
"So, anong plano mo bes?"
"Actually, di ko nga alam unnie eh. Ayaw ni Lisa na nandon ako pero ito na yon eh. Pangarap ko nato. May chance pa ko, baka last nato."
"Grab the opportunity. Walang mawawala. Come back here kapag di nagwork don."
"Paano ka?" Eh kase naman. Ang mahal ng apartment kapag mag-isa. Tas parang baby pa man din to. Kailangan ng aruga tanda tanda na.
"I'll be okay Chaeyoung. Go there. Pursue your dreams. Basta huwag kang makakalimot ha?"
