Chapter six So...whatever happened to being nice

I walk to the house with Jace. I was starting to feel a little light headed.

"Are you okay? is something wrong" Jace acts like a mother hen. I held my head.

"No, I feel fine. Nothing is wrong" I almost fell into the wall. Is this what it feels like to be drunk? I focus on the floor.

"I will pick you up if you pass out" Jace came closer to me. As if he was waiting for me to fall over. I walk to the door to mansion.

I am sleepy what the hell did I eat? Jace came closer to me. I passed out. Luckily Jace caught me so I didn't have a headache when I woke up.

I open my gold eyes. I saw I was in a comfy bed. I just curled right up. I pull the covers down.

I sat up slowly. Jace hopped on the bed. I was wrapped in Jace's arms again.

"Let me go" I whisper. I try to sit up on the bed. Jace pulled me back down.

"No, lay down and then I will grab my mate food. I will explain everything to you later when I get home" Jace gave me a squeeze. When He left I sat up studying the room.

The walls had trees casting a shadow. There were little dots of bright light. The closet was on the left, a desk next to the bed. The black carpet was probably fuzzy. I guess it's an alien thing.

I grab the lamp from the mini. I just realized that I was in his room. I hope he does realize I don't listen very well. I climb out of bed. I walked over to the door. I was about to open when I heard a voice on the other side.

"What do you mean keep her in there. Master it is very unwise to leave a human locked up" One voice sounded angry.

"I am the king. You have no say in what I choose to do with my mate" Jace bluntly added"unless you know more than I know about her". He dared the other to say something.

"No master" there was a slight shuffle. I strained to hear more. Unfortunately Jace has a different idea.

The door opened a crack. I moved behind the door. I can't trust Jace or anyone else. Just thinking of how my family got here was enough to get anyone running.

I wait patiently for Jace to come through the doorway. I continue to wait there for an eternity.

"Ellen come out now" I stood there waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Jace strolled into the room.

"Ellen come out I will explain everything" Jace made it sound false. There must be a different reason why he wants me. There is always a reason to react once you see it, you can predict the person's actions.

"No you lie like everyone else in the world. Of course I meant in the universe" My tone came a little more harsh then I wanted it to. The point probably came across though.

Jace's head snap in my direction. I emerged from the side. I paused momentarily. Then ran for the exit.
