A/N: Hey guys, I'm back! I'm so terribly sorry for not updating, but I kinda just slowly broke down over the course of the school year. Not my favorite way to go, but at least I'm back. I know I said in the last A/N that I would be rewriting this fic, but I was literally too lazy to come up with a plot, so I'll try my best to remember what's happening. My writing style is also sloppy, since I haven't been writing all that much, but I hope you guys enjoy the fic! Reminder: It will not follow the Order of the Phoenix, since it's a crossover, but it will include some bits of it.
Disclaimer: Percy Jackson and Harry Potter aren't mine, they are Rick Riordan's and J.K. Rowling's, respectively.
Dedicated to @troubled-ocean for your nice comments! Although this chapter and onwards probably won't be as good as the last chapters, I hope you still sort of like it!
Warning: mild language, OOCness, sloppy writing,
Third Person, Ministry of Magic
Percy paced left and right as he waited for Harry to finish his hearing. Who knows what could happen to Harry if someone had sabotaged the Wizengamot...The door to Courtroom Ten opened and Dumbledore briskly walked out, Mr. Weasley opened his mouth to speak, but Dumbledore had already gone. Mr. Weasley was already pale with worry, so Percy sent him what he hoped was a reassuring smile. A minute later, Harry walked out, looking a little dazed.
"Dumbledore didn't say—" Mr. Weasley started, before Harry cut him off.
"Cleared of all charges!" Harry said, pulling the door closed behind him.
Mr. Weasley beamed as Percy's face broke into a small smile. They started to walk down the corridor as Harry grinned, looking like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. But, of course, where Percy went, bad things happen... like they always do. Percy gritted his teeth as they encountered Lucius Malfoy. That snake started to mock Harry and Mr. Weasley, and just when Harry opened his mouth to say something snarky, Percy put a hand on his shoulder, "That's enough, Mr. Malfoy, Harry," Percy said, keeping his eyes trained to the ground, his hood up. He wouldn't want to anger someone who had enough power to turn everyone against him... he also wouldn't want to let the enemy know of him.
"And who is this? Dumbledore's favorite boy has a bodyguard, does he?" Mr. Malfoy drawled, snide amusement in his tone.
"I'm someone you should not be concerned about, Mr. Malfoy," Percy said as politely as possible, his eyes still trained on the ground. Percy felt the weight of a hand on his shoulder, and he looked to his side to see Mr. Weasley shoot him a warning glance. Percy nodded subtly in response.
Mr. Malfoy sneered, "Well then, shall we go to your office, Minister?"
"Certainly," Fudge said, "This way, Lucius," And the duo left, talking in hushed tones.
Percy shook his head at their retreating backs, pushing down his hood. Harry was asking Mr. Weasley questions in an angry tone, Mr. Weasley looking a slight bit less angry than him, but angry all the same. They started walking towards the toilets and Percy trailed behind Mr. Weasley and Harry in a daze. They went back to Grimmauld Place and as they entered the kitchen and Harry told everyone the good news, Percy was still in a daze. He remembered the banter between him and Kelli down in Tartarus... then came flashes of memories from Tartarus, appearing in his mind's eye, and worst of all... Annabeth screaming for Percy when she went blind... Percy shook his head as he refocused back on the whooping and cheering, subtly wiping a traitorous tear that had somehow fallen from his eye.
Out of the corner of his eyes, he sees Harry clap a hand to his scar. Hermione looked anxiously at Harry as she asked him what it was. Percy quietly trodded over to where Harry and Hermione was, "Are you okay, Harry?" Percy asked quietly, Harry shrugged rather sheepishly. Percy gave him a once over and deemed him not in any danger, so Percy nodded and smirked crookedly at Harry before he quietly went out the kitch—
"Percy, dear, come sit down!" Mrs. Weasley called out after him.
He shrugged, "Its alright, I'm not hungry,"
"Nonsense, Percy! Come and sit down!" Mrs. Weasley said, gesturing to a chair next to Harry, a good plate of food waiting there for him. Percy hesitated, before slowly going over and sitting down, looking warily at the plate of food. He took a small bite from the roast chicken sitting in front of him before standing up. He really wasn't feeling that hungry.
"Thanks, Mrs. Weasley, that tasted great," Percy said, rather hurriedly, before quietly dashing upstairs to his shared bedroom, closing the door behind him as he entered. Percy fidgeted with Riptide and the wand in his pocket... there was too much people in there. Too much for his taste.
Weak, his bitter mind told him... and he believed it.
He just hoped he could be strong enough to protect Harry Potter.
A/N: Again, many apologies for the long wait! This was a very short chapter, but I'm hoping I could make a longer one sometime in the future. Hope you guys are having a splendid day!
Should I make this a drarry fic?
