Camp Half-Blood, Third Person
Percy sat on the edge of his bed, looking through photos upon photos of memories that he shared with his friends. He was supposed to be packing his bags, but he just couldn't put the book down, "What went wrong?" Percy whispered, tracing a thumb over a particularly funny picture with the Seven. Percy knew exactly what went wrong, but it was just too painful to even think about.Percy sighed, closing the book and carefully putting it into his backpack. A backpack from Hermes to be exact, so it could fit anything, but he could still carry it. Percy slung the backpack over his shoulder, looking around for anything that he missed, before heading out to go to the stables. He heard the screeching of campfire songs in the amphitheater, and he smiled at it.
Heading towards the stables, he looked around at the camp. His second home, "I'll miss you," Percy whispered to no one in particular.
Percy entered the stables, looking for Blackjack, the pure black pegasus that he rescued from the Princess Andromeda.
Hey boss, Blackjack neighed as Percy got closer, got any donuts? Or sugar cubes?
Percy laughed, shaking his head in exasperation, before he turned solemn, "I have some sugar cubes, I just wanted to say bye," Percy whispered, taking out the tiny white cubes that Blackjack loved so much.
Blackjack ate the sugar cubes before looking at Percy in confusion, what do you mean by that, boss? Blackjack tilted his head to the side to show his confusion.
"I'm going to leave, I need to take a break from... all this," Percy said, gesturing to everything around him, "I'll be somewhere far away, I'll come back next summer, I'm sure. Don't worry about me," Percy smiled warmly at his companion, before he stepped out of the stables.
Percy went to the Big House, slipping a tiny note in the space under the door. He then vapor travelled to the entrance of the Empire State Building, wary, of course, of any mortals. The security guard on duty immediately gave Percy the card that he needed as soon as he went inside. Percy nodded his thanks as the security guard looked at him in fear and wariness.
Percy smirked at the guy, before he went into the elevator, putting the card into the slot that appeared to go up to Olympus.
Once at Olympus, Percy quickly and silently made his way to the place of his... ahem... suicide attempt. He felt more than saw the aura of power that came with every god or goddess, two auras of power to be exact, "Father, Lady Hecate," Percy said respectfully, nodding at their silhouettes.
"Perseus," Hecate greeted back, and Percy grumbled slightly at that.
Poseidon stood back a bit, watching the pair like a hawk. Percy smiled slightly at his father, before facing Hecate. Hecate slowly moved towards Percy, placing her hands on either side of his face, "Look me in the eyes, Perseus," Hecate said. Percy met her violet eyes in trepidation.
Poseidon looked between the two in worry as he counted the slow minutes that had passed with their eyes locked, not even blinking.
After a very long seven minutes did one of them react.
Percy blinked, stumbling backwards in disorientation. Poseidon leapt forward, steadying his son, "Are you okay?" Poseidon asked worriedly, before looking at Hecate in distrust and anger. Hecate calmly met his gaze, raising an elegant eyebrow.
"Yeah, dad, I'm fine," Percy said, sounding a little dazed, "Wow, so the guy that I have to protect is a famous hero? Poor dude," Percy shook his head, trying to right his upside-down vision. Percy slowly came back to the land of the living, before he smiled at his dad reassuringly.
"I already alerted Headmaster Dumbledore about your arrival, only he knows about your origins," Hecate said, "We must leave at once, Harry Potter is to get to Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place tomorrow night,"
Percy nodded his affirmation. He briskly hugged his dad, muttering a, "Love ya," to him, before he went to Hecate's side, and they both disappeared with a flash. Poseidon was left staring, speechless, as the hug his son gave him slowly melted his heart and fried his brain. The biggest and goofiest smile that Olympus had ever seen settled on his face, before he, too, flashed away, leaving the scent of the sea to linger.
Front of Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place, London, Third Person
Percy looked around for anything out of the ordinary, before he facepalmed at himself, "It's under the Fidelius Charm, isn't it, Lady Hecate?" Percy asked, Hecate looked at Percy in surprise."Quick learner," Hecate commented, "So much for 'Seaweed Brain', hm?"
Percy glared at her with his wolf glare, before he sighed, not wanting to anger a goddess just yet, "That's what war and Tartarus does to you," Percy said heavily, and Hecate looked at him stoically.
Hecate sighed, "Memorize this, and remember, there are Death Eaters roaming around, don't alert them to your presence," Hecate said, looking around cautiously before handing him a small slip of paper, "The Order of the Phoenix has already been alerted," Hecate then flashed out, leaving behind a wary Percy.
Percy looked around, using his senses and the water in the air to see if there were any Death Eaters lurking about. He breathed out a sigh of relief once he found no one, he then looked at the Ancient Greek writing on his paper, shutting his eyes and thinking about Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. As soon as he thought about it, a rumble was heard in front of him. Percy's eyes flew open and his hand instantly went to his pen, already in his defensive stance.
Percy stared at the magic happening in front of him, before a small smile flitted across his face. He walked up the worn stone steps, hesitating before knocking on the door. All sounds and movements that was heard inside the place was ceased, and Percy could faintly here the creaking of wooden planks as someone made their way towards the door. The faint whirring of cogs and such was heard by Percy from inside the door, before the door slowly opened.
Percy lifted his hand up in a small wave, smiling crookedly, "Hi, I'm Percy Jackson, I think Dumbledore informed you guys about me?" Percy said. Percy was quickly ushered in by a nice redheaded lady, and the door quickly closed. At once, he was sat in a chair and looked at in distrust by everyone, even the nice lady, who was bustling about in the kitchen.
"I don't smell Polyjuice on his breath," A gruff voice said from behind him. Percy calmly turned his head to stare straight at a war-worned face, and he smiled.
"You look like you've been through hell," Percy commented, looking in the face of Alastor Moody. He might as well have been, Percy mused, looking at the cool artificial eye on his face.
Percy barely flinched when Moody yelled, "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" Although, the metamorphmagus jumped a little, along with everyone else.
"Ah, welcome Percy Jackson," An old man said from the door frame, Percy's head turned to look into the twinkling eyes of Headmaster Dumbledore.
A/N: Welp, a bit more longer than the last chapters, but probably more confusing! Don't be shy to give me feedback! I'll probably update later this week or early next week, depends on if I don't get skinned alive by my mum for getting a bad grade. Whoops!
