Chapter Twelve:
So it was Thursday finally the big day well not the big big day. It was just the day that Tucker was having dinner with my insanely crazed parents, but no biggie right? Considering what I had just found out about his past. Which could potentially be the reason why he wanted it to be a secret.
The air was cold I could feel the tears rolling down my face start to get cold. Tucker is walking too fast for me to catch up to him.
"Tucker! Tucker"! I yelled his name.
"What, Raquel? What do you want from me"? He screamed at me.
"I'm sorry". I said as I started to cry.
"I'm so sorry, Tucker I"- I started to say before he cut me off.
"You're sorry? You're sorry? You invade my personal life, and all you can say is you're sorry"?! He said.
"I'm sorry I don't know what else to say". I said still crying.
"Well here's what I have to say. I specifically asked you not to for a reason. You deliberately went behind my back and did it anyways. For what? Just to get to know me better? The reason why I keep my past to myself is to start over, and now I can't do that thanks to you". He said.
"I never meant to dig into your past I just- I just wanted to know who you were". I said crying.
"Well now you know. Now you know that your so called perfect boyfriend isn't as perfect as you thought. Congratulations you got what you wanted. Have a nice life 24. Cause I can't do this anymore". He said.
"Are you breaking up with me"? I said as tear started forming in my eyes.
"No I'm not I'm just saying that I think we should just go back to being associated on the field. Cause I'm done trying to be apart of your insanely wild life".
Those were Tucker's last words before he walked down the street and never looked back. Wait wait wait I'm getting ahead of myself so let's skip back to Thursday morning. Regardless or not if I was mad at Tucker. He still was my coach, and I was his player so we had to put or differences aside and talk to each other no matter how badly we didn't want to. It was 6:00 in the morning the cold air rushed in as the midst fog froze in time. I threw the ball into the net and it went in.
Today was the day that Tucker was finally getting to actually meet my parents. And not just say a quick "hello" on the couch and leave. They're having an actual sit down dinner. Over the last few days I have looked into Tucker's past I know it shouldn't off. But I feel like he's hiding something and I just don't know it is. Why would he not tell me that coach is his dad? Why would I care if he was anyways?
I woke up from that dream to the sound of my alarm beeping. I grabbed my laptop, and searched through the results of Tucker's name. I clicked on the first link of the search. I couldn't believe my eyes to what came up. I was about to grab my phone, and call Karah, and tell her what I had found but I forgot we're not on speaking terms right now. So, I just silently read the article to myself. I scrolled down to read about Katrina Tucker's ex. I felt like there was something in there that I could find and evidently I did.
There wasn't any school today or practice so there was no place to go. But thank god the school was open cause I left my notebook in my locker. So I got myself together and got ready. My parents had given me my car back, so I was set to leave. I first stopped at the school, and parked my car. I headed to my locker to get my notebook. When I opened my locker, and looked to the right I saw Tucker walking in my distance. I stared at him for a bit then got my notebook, closed my locker, and headed for my car. I opened the "Blurpbook" app on my phone, and typed in "Katrina Czoss" after about searching through a dozen Katrina's I finally found the one I was looking for. I clicked on her name, and read her location it says that she currently lives in Washington which is great. It looks like she just posted a picture on her timeline about five minutes ago it was caption "you can't get amazing coffee better than at Juno's". Juno was this coffee cafe that was located in Boroughills which was only about a forty minute drive from here which I was not prepared for.
