Chapter Sixteen:

"Okay, everyone don't forget that tickets for prom go on sale today, starting at 10 during all lunch periods". The girl said over the announcement.

"Ooh prom I can't wait. I'm so excited". Karah said all giddy.

"Great". I said shutting my locker.

"Oh come on Rocky cheer up". Karah said.

"I can't". I replied.

"So what if Tucker didn't stay after to talk to you after open mic night. What matters is that he still came". Karah said.

"It's not just that I just thought things woulda changed. Or at least went back to the way it was after I sang the song. I thought he'd finally get it". I responded.

"Rocky, all guys are stupid you should know that, and if Tucker didn't realize what he had. Then he's an idiot and you need to move on". Karah said.

It sucked because she made a point, and she was kinda right. I really didn't understand why I was still lingering Tucker on. I mean it's obvious he didn't care about me, so why should I care about him. I hated when Karah was right.

"So since you're going to prom what are you gonna wear"? I asked her sitting down next to her.

"Woah back up the train a bit. What do you mean since I'm going to prom. You're not going"?! Karah said yelling.

"I didn't say I wasn't going. I'm just not sure yet". I said.

"Oh please Rocky you are going. I'm not experiencing prom without my best friend". Karah said eating her chips.

I sighed. "I'll go just for you not for anyone else, and plus who am I suppose to go with? I mean I'm pretty sure no one wants to go with me. As well as, it's pretty late to find a prom date". I replied.

"Oh please as your best friend it's my duty one to find you a date, and two tell you that you're insanely hot and someone is beyond to as you". She replied.

I laughed, and threw a French fry at her.

"You're insane you know that"? I said.

"I know you tell me that everyday, and Aaron at 12 o'clock". She said looking him.

I turned my head, and he smiled me.

"What?! You want me to go with Aaron"?! I said.

"Yeah why not". She said.

"Why not? Why not"?! I said.

"You know why not". I said.

"Just because you guys had a rough patch in your relationship doesn't mean anything everyone does, and besides you guys are just friends or on the verge of becoming friends again. So just go as friends, that wouldn't hurt would it"? Karah said looking at me.

I looked at her.

"Hey, Aaron". She yelled and gestured her hand.

"Karah, what are you doing"?! I said.

"Making this easier on you". Karah said.

"Yeah, Karah what's up"? Aaron said walked over as he sat down next to me.

"Okay so long story short. She needs a date to prom cause she decided to go at last minute". Karah started saying.

"And she's worrying if I'll be her date". Aaron said finishing the sentence.

"Yes so will you be? For Raquel's sake"? Karah asked.

"He looked at me. Then looked at Karah, and then looked at me again.
