—Chapter 3—
Life Segments (1)

It has been about three weeks since the raven and the male travelled together through designated locations. During those three weeks, they minded their own business and somehow worked together to help those in need. The emerald-eyed female chose to ignore the male's reasons as to what he was doing. However, every time he returned to their resting spot, she always seemed to sense residues of death and blood around him. Wounds and bruises were upon his chest and limbs, causing her to frown immensely. There was one time she had enough of it.

"I am fine, Satou-san. These wounds does not hinder my work out in the battlefield." The raven frowned at the male. "I do not care whether you are fine or not. I will tend to your injuries whether you want me to or not at all, Emiya-kun." She pulled on the male's arm to have him sit down in the chair as he hissed at the ignorant woman's actions. Yuuki soaked a bandage within flower-infused water and wrapped the wound on his lower arm as he flinched at the cold temperature.

"What the hell did you put within these wraps?! It's god forsakenly cold, dammit!" She chuckled as she continued to wrap the wound. "It's a homebrew remedy and it does help with the recovery." He glared at the female. "Then why the hell does it have to be in freezing cold temperature?!" She knotted the bandage and hovered her hands, a glowing hue of blueish-green appeared from her palms and onto the wrappings. "Oh, I forgot to maintain it in room temperature."

The skin between his brows knitted together. "Oye! Wouldn't that change the chemicals within the liquid?!" She shook her head. "Not at all. This just assists me in increasing the recovery rate. Now, stay still, Emiya-kun." He rolled his eyes as he sat still, waiting for the woman to finish. "Just get this done please."

After travelling for some time, the two decided to end up in a location rather quiet and serene. It wasn't too bad since the vicinity was pretty much cleared and freed from guerilla warfare. "There seems to be a nice place we can rent out for a few days. I'll tend to your injuries once more." The male scoffed as the raven obtained keys for their room. Unfortunately, they were able to only assign one room for the two of them due to the occupancy filling up all the others. The stewardess gave them a room with at least a small kitchen and two separate beds. At the least, it was better than just a single bed.

The two sighed, eventually complying to the inevitable facts in front of them. The female unlocked room 4A32 and entered as the male soon followed. It was oddly comforting to see a kitchen-living room combo with a hallway leading to two small bedrooms and a bathroom. Yuuki dropped her bag in one of the bedrooms and return with a medical bag.

"I told you I do not need you to tend to those scrapes. Do you not understand me, woman?" The male dropped his bag in the unoccupied room as he left to sit on the couch. "And I told you as well that I will tend to those wounds whether you like it or not. Unless you want me to actually restrain you by force. I'm not afraid to do that." The male's eyes shrunk to a menacing glare as he stared down the female from the couch.

"Your words doesn't scare me, Satou-san." Her brow cocked upwards as a laugh fell upon her lips. "I think you said that when you first underestimated me. You sure you want to repeat that embarrassment once more?" The male soon surely recalled that sudden surprise. It wasn't something he enjoyed to remember at all. Could he say that he was unprepared for that? No, not at all because of the battles he had faced multiple times. But he wasn't expecting the female to move in such a way that was very unorthodox.

"... Nevermind. Just don't use that damn homebrew remedy you used before. It's cold like your personality." She laughed as she sat next to the male. "No worries, your wounds aren't too deep so I'll be using something else. You really think I'm a cold person, Emiya-kun?" She brought out a small spray bottle and bandages as the male leaned back into the couch. "I mean... We even barely talk during our travels and even if we do speak, it's me usually initiating regarding the people in the current vicinity."
