~Bella's POV~

We reappeared in some old warehouse. Seagulls cried outside and I could hear the distant sound of crashing waves, we reappeared somewhere near the ocean. I dropped onto a mound of discarded ropes and netting unable to support myself any longer and glanced down at my legs with a grimace. Though the poison thorns I'd conjured wouldn't poison me, they had ripped deep into my ankles, so deep I could see part of the bone in some spots.

Dabi knelt on the ground in front of me, his hypnotic teal gaze ensnaring me in an instant making my heart beat faster in my chest. His lips pulled into a smirk taking note of the color in my cheeks and the pulsating vein on my neck. My pulse quickened as he reached for one of my bloody ankles.

"W-what are you doing?" I squeaked and attempted to scramble backward and away from him, only succeeding in getting tangled up in the netting I'd sat on.

A soft chuckle came from Dabi's direction. It was a pleasant sound that instantly warmed my heart. "You're bleeding."

"My blood is toxic! Don't touch m-." I cut off with a gasp as I felt his hand encircle my calf and let out a soft yelp as he effortlessly dragged me toward him.

"Then I had better hurry so you can be conscious enough to fix me when I'm done." He said with a small smile that made me feel weak at the knees.

"D-don't." I protested weakly as a delightful shiver ran down my spine. His grip on my calf didn't loosen.

"Hey, Psycho, go find me some bandages." Dabi called over his shoulder to Toga as he leaned forward to inspect my bloody ankles. Despite my words of protest, I found myself unable to move, losing my resolve to put up much of a fight.

At the slightest tug of resistance, he tightened his hold on my calf and dragged me closer to him. My heart raced in my chest as I found myself even more entangled in the stupid netting I'd sat atop of. As I tried to struggle it only seemed to make things worse and before I knew it my arms were trapped in the netting. Dabi smirked as he watched me struggle and realized I was now completely helpless.

Toga showed up with a few rolls of bandages in hand. She paused as she saw the blood dripping from my ankles and a manic smile lit up her face. "Bella-chan is so beautiful covered in blood."

Dabi held his free hand up snapping her from her manic daze. She handed over the bandages but looked reluctant to leave. "Beat it, Psycho. Remember she'd be upset if something happened to you." He frowned.

Toga looked sad for a moment before sighing in defeat, "okay." She trudged off with her head bowed and went to join the others as everyone regrouped and tended to injuries they'd sustained.

"Don't call her that." I hissed at him and would have swatted at him if I wasn't currently bound in netting.

His lips pulled into a sexy smirk that made my heart skip a beat as he realized I was completely at his mercy. I'd gotten myself so entangled in the nets, I couldn't move an inch. My heart raced in my chest as he leaned forward, drawing closer. His face was almost touching mine.

"What's wrong, Plague Rat?" His smirk was debonair and made my pulse quicken. I was sure I'd slip into cardiac arrest if he got any closer. "Are you stuck?"

"Y-yes." I squeaked. My voice cracked and was an octave higher than usual due to his close proximity. The intoxicating scent of his sinfully alluring cologne enveloped me. I wanted to drown myself in it. It was maddening.

"Good. Then sit still and I might help you out when I'm done." His smirk grew and there was a wicked glint in his eyes.

I forced myself to sit still though my body wanted to jerk every time he touched me as delightful electrical spasms shot through me everywhere our skin made contact. Toga brought him some rubbing alcohol and a few clean cloths before reluctantly leaving once more. Dabi cleaned my wounds with expert care before wrapping my feet and ankles in bandages.

When he finished there was a faint pallor to his skin and a somewhat delirious look to his eyes. "Hey...Plague Rat...you just going to let me suffer?" He choked as he leaned forward his face drawing nearer to mine.

My heart raced as I activated my quirk and hesitantly pressed my lips to his feeling like I'd die of embarrassment. His arms encircled me as he kissed me back and I let out a soft gasp as my body tingled at his touch. His lips pulled into a smirk against mine noticing my embarrassing girlish reaction. My quirk had already neutralized my toxins yet he was still kissing me and it made my head spin. His body pressed into mine as he held me with one arm and reached behind me with his free hand.

Heat burned inside of me with a growing hunger and before I could stop myself, I bit down on his lower lip. His body shuddered against mine and I felt a victorious smile twist onto my lips, I was tired of being the prey in our little game of cat and mouse. Dabi needed to be reminded I was very much a predator and using my feelings for him against me wouldn't always work in his favor. I was tired of him having the upper hand.

His hand that had been reaching behind me withdrew and I felt my cheeks redden as I felt the netting that had been entangling my arms, give. He was just trying to free me, not deepen our kiss. He probably wasn't even sure if I was done neutralizing the toxins inside of him as it took a little while to take effect. I felt like such an idiot and instantly pulled away from him red faced and mortified.

Dabi chuckled as I scrambled away from him. "You never cease to amuse me, Plague Rat." He teased me with a wicked grin.

"Sh-shut up! Don't let it go to your head." I snapped as I got to my feet to run away but felt my wounded ankles protest the action. Swaying unsteadily, I toppled over.

Strong arms encircled me and I felt my heart pound in my chest as Dabi swept me off my feet and into his warm embrace. He cradled me against him, carrying me like a princess and my face exploded with heat. Was it possible to die of pure mortification? Why wasn't I dead yet?! This was too much to handle!

He set me down atop a nearby crate, away from the others and turned to leave. I reached out to stop him catching the back of his jacket in my hand. He looked over at me curiously, amusement dancing in his breathtaking teal eyes.

"What now?" He mused.

"M-my blood..." I looked to my blood staining the cloth and some of the net I'd been tangled in where he'd tended to my injuries.

"Right, we can't have any dead racoons. It would upset you too much." He gently pat me atop the head, "I'll take care of it, get some rest." With that said he tenderly caught my wrist in his hand before applying just enough pressure my grip on him eased. He walked away leaving me feeling flustered.

"Alright, until we hear from the master, we'll be hanging out here," Shigaraki addressed everyone looking exhausted. "So, get some rest." He grumbled and went to find a place to think about all that had happened.

Toga approached me and hopped up on the crate next to me, "are you okay, Bella-chan?" She leaned against me and I smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"I'm fine. Are you alright, Himiko-chan? I was worried I hurt you earlier."

Her golden eyes lit up, "it's okay Bella-chan, you made it all better." She leaned her head against mine and snuggled into my arms, "I know you'd never hurt me intentionally and that's part of why I love you." She giggled.

"Good." I hugged her close, "thanks for caring about me, Himiko-chan."

Her maniacal smile faltered as she looked up at me, "everyone here cares about you, Bella-chan. We're a family."

"Most dysfunctional family I've ever seen and my mother tried to kill me, if that says anything." I scoffed.

Toga laughed at this and squeezed me tight, "Bella-chan is the best."

We found a way to get comfortable atop the tarp covered crates and were able to snuggle for warmth. It didn't take long before Toga was sound asleep with her arms tightly wrapped around me. I smiled and looked over as Dabi finished burning away the last remnants of my blood. His teal gaze flicked in my direction and our eyes met. His eyes widened a fraction before he smirked and looked away. I thought I saw the faintest trace of color on his marred face. Did I actually manage to fluster him?
