Quickly trying to hide my sudden fear of him I whispered. "Nice to meet you." fear clenched at my heart, as the rest of my body heated up from the lust filled, hungry look he was giving me. What kind of situation did I just walk myself into? How did...
A deer caught in headlights was the only thing I could compare myself to when I stepped out the Ciel and came face to face with the horde of congregated spectators and photographers. Their excitement was overwhelming as women screamed and swooned over Marco and well as photographers waving and shouting to get his attention for a quick picture, honestly until this moment I had no idea just how popular he was.
"Relax." Marco whispered, his lips brush gently over my earlobe, sending an unexpected shiver down my spine as I nodded, gulping nervously. "Smile, wave and... just sparkle... like eye candy." He instructed in a teasing tone, smirking at my infuriated expression as I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him, I had enough problems without a nervous or annoyed look forever captured on camera.
"Oh, I got the sparkle covered." I snipped back, meeting his penetrating gaze, momentarily distracted from the throngs of people watching and waiting for us to make our way up the red carpet that was laid out, leading toward the hotel entrance.
"Agreed." He growled, pulling his mask of menacing control back into place before taking my right hand and slipping it around his left elbow, slowly leading us through the crowd.
Taking deep breaths, I concentrated on my footsteps, cursing these beautiful heels with every shaky step I took. I should have practice walking in these damn things, I quickly realized that I was leaning a little more than necessary against Marco's arm for support. Whether he noticed or not was unclear, he simply continued toward the stairs to the hotel entrance without concern. Staring passed the people I glared at the stairs, dreading having to walk up them. There were several security guards along the pathway, holding back the crowd and several more prevent the people from entering the hotel.
Marco paused a few times here and there to take a quick picture with certain photographers, he made sure to give a slight nod or small calculating smile to the crowd, but he never fulling stopped. Taking a quick glance around, I spotted Nicco close to our back with Sev, Vinny, Tommaso, Battista and Richie coming up close behind us, keeping a watchful eye as they continuously scanned the area and crowd around us.
I held my breath and sent a silent prayer for help as soon as we started up the stairs, praying I would make it up them without embarrassing myself by stumbling or god forbid falling, with that nerve-racking thought in mind I took slow decisive steps. Thankfully I made it up the stairs without tripping.
Nicco was suddenly in front of us opening the door to the hotel lobby with Vinny close to our back as Tommaso and Battista flanked Sev and Richie brought up the rear. There were very few people lingering in the ritzy hotel lobby, mostly hotel staff were present, who were quickly directing us toward the banquet room were the Mayors charity event was being held.

Just as Nicco started to lead us across the lobby toward the banquet room a stunningly beautiful woman with dark brown shoulder length hair with honey colored tips, caramel colored skin and curvy figure popped up from the lobby chair she had been lounging in and made a beeline toward us.
