After they had picked up Elena from hospital after she fainted, Tyler and Matt opened the front door to the female doppelganger's house. Caroline and Mallory walked in behind them with their arms wrapped around Elena, helping her into the house, "Couch. Now," Mallory ordered in a stern tone.

"I'm fine. I just..." She trailed off, letting out a sigh I want something to eat first."

"We're on it," Tyler immediately replied, "As soon as we make sure no one is lurking in the closets."

Mallory quietly laughed, rolling her eyes as Tyler and Matt walked upstairs, "Like they'll be able to do anything to stop the bad guys," She commented quietly, "On second thought, I should go with them. Just in case."

With that, Mallory sped up the stairs to find that Tyler and Matt had already finished making sure nobody was there uninvited, "Everything good?" Mallory questioned the two boys curiously.

"Yup," Tyler answered, wrapping an arm around Mallory, "All clear."

"Good," Mallory smiled slightly, "I'm not really in the mood to save anyone's ass."

"Hey," Tyler complained, causing Mallory to stop in front of the stairs and turn to him to see that Tyler was smiling at her, "You make me sound like some damsel in distress."

"And you aren't?" Mallory asked jokingly, wrapping her arms around Tyler's neck while Tyler snaked his arms around her waist, "You know, you might have a killer bite, but I still have eight centuries worth of combat skills, unlike you, Mr. 'My only fighting experience I have is when I kicked nerd's asses when they didn't do my history homework for me.'"

"You make me sound like some stereotypical jock," Tyler responded, beginning to laugh as Mallory raised a brow at him, "Touché."

Mallory smiled at Tyler, turning her head to see that Matt had already headed downstairs to avoid having to be a third wheel to them, "Damn," She commented, "Even Matt couldn't stand us."

"Good," Tyler responded, grabbing Mallory's hand before leading her over to the wall, "I wouldn't want to do this with him standing right next to us."

Mallory was about to question Tyler when the male hybrid, lightly pushed her against the wall before standing in front of her. He cupped her face with his hands and leaned forward, pressing his lips against hers.

Mallory smiled in the kiss, her lips parting as Tyler pulled away to speak once more, "'Cause that'd be really awkward," He continued on, causing Mallory to quietly chuckle as she lightly slapped him on the chest before they kissed once more.

After Caroline and Tyler had left to speak with their parents, it left Elena, Matt, Mallory, and now Stefan at the house alone. Well, until Elijah made his unexpected appearance.

Soon after his arrival, the group resided in the kitchen, discussing Elijah's plan, "All we need is to take that stake away from him. Once he's been disarmed, the weapon's in my possession, my family will scatter to the ends of the Earth and Alaric will follow us." Elijah explained the group in a calm tone.

"And you'll just run?" Stefan questioned, taking a seat next to Elena and Mallory.

"We've done it before," Elijah simply shrugged, "Klaus and Rebekah spent the better part of a thousand years evading my father. What's another half century while Elena is able to live out the rest of her natural life?"

"We've finally stopped him, Elijah," Elena reminded Elijah, letting out a sigh, "After everything that he's done to us, I can't just let you bring him back."
