Sam's alias quest had gone south and nothing came of it. He drums his hand on the Impala steering wheel a month later wondering why Dean left them and when he would be back. His thoughts are cut short as the door opens and Castiel gets into the passenger seat beside Sam.
"I thought I may find you here. How are you coping Sam? You've barely spoken to Gabriel or myself. Gabriel is becoming more worried and frankly, so am I." Castiel states.
Sam sighs, "I'm fine, Cass. I just miss Dean, he saved my life and he's gone because of me. I was--"
"Don't blame yourself for this, Sam. Dean chose to save you. It was his own choice and he made the one that he knew was right for all of us, we all care for you Sam and if Dean saved you for that then we can wait a little longer for him to come home, right?"
Sam nods slightly, "you're right Cass, I'm sorry... and thank you." Castiel returns his nod and smiles kindly before getting back out of the car and walking back towards the bunker.

Dean digs his nails into his legs as they land safely on the ground, he waits for the people next to him to move into the aisle of the plane before getting up himself and grabbing his luggage with a sigh. He had enjoyed his short life in Australia, he had isolated himself but he enjoyed it. Sadly, Billy had told him to keep moving and that's what he's doing. He gets off of the plane and takes one step onto the English soil, he had gotten himself another apartment. This one had looked fancier on the pictures but how would he know what's fancy and what's not in different places?
He easily asks for directions which a woman at a desk happily gives to him before he heads off to another apartment building that he probably didn't want. He never really wanted to travel the world, all he had ever truly wanted was to stop hunting and to have a normal life but even now he can't have that. He's been hunting ever since he left his family, not that they would know that. He opens the door of the apartment before locking it behind himself, not even bothering to look at the interior properly before heading off to get a shower.

Three months later.

Sam smiles as he snuggles against Gabriel's chest, trying to comfy himself before falling back to sleep. It had been five months since Dean left and they had pretty much all given up apart from Castiel who can occasionally be seen searching Sam's laptop for Dean. After three months they had widened their search for people who had turned up after the accident but someone who had been a real person.
There's a frantic knock at the door and Sam gets up with a sigh, moving over to the door and opening it. "Cass, what's up?"
Castiel holds up the laptop to Sam. "Kai Grey. Notice his picture?" Sam's eyes widen as he sees the brother he had missed for so long on a screen with a new name, new destination, new life.
"I can try to track his whereabouts. He's unlikely to have left the country so it should be easy enough." Sam states before moving past Castiel to the main room where he sits down with the laptop in front of him. Gabriel and Castiel emerge within a moment and lean against the table, waiting, hoping as Sam taps away at the keyboard.
Sam shakes his head, "no... Dean wouldn't do that."
"What is it?" Gabriel asks, leaning forward over the table more, his curiosity peaked.
Sam looks up at them, "apparently Dean's been travelling the world, Australia, England, Africa, Russia... right now he's in Italy, Naples. He wouldn't travel with a plane."
"Maybe he's been flown there?" Castiel wonders.
Sam shakes his head, "not possible. He's using a passport for it and he has been spotted on the actual planes." They all look at each other with complete curiosity.

Dean sighs as he locks his apartment building, dragging his luggage behind him as he walks towards the bus stop for the airport. He had only stayed for a few weeks in Naples due to him wanting to move places in order to not be found as much as possible.
He heads towards the docks with a sigh, hearing a faint voice in his head. Hey Dean. Gabriel, seriously?
How did you find me? Dean asks, his tone is bitter in his own head, he can tell.
Dean can feel Gabriel shrug, Kai Grey, nice alias, really.
You can't find me, you'll die. For you own good, Sam's own good and Castiel's own goods stay away from me. Dean thinks and he doesn't get a response from Gabriel until he's on the bus heading towards the airport.
I told Sammy and Cassie that I can't reach you, keep moving Dean. Also, we can track your movements via your passport. May want to change that at some point. After Gabriel says this, it's radio silence and Dean isn't sure whether to be grateful or not but he does know one thing. He has to change his passport.

Sam sighs, "you couldn't get through to him at all?"
Castiel nods, "I can feel it too, he's completely warded, I'm not powerful enough to get to him or talk with him. Gabe are you sure you can't get to him in anyway possible? I mean, you're an archangel, isn't there something you can do?"
Gabriel nods faintly, "I tried but the warding is extremely powerful. I'm sorry."
Sam sighs, "right, we'll track him the old fashioned way." He glances at his laptop and sees the passport go through security at another airport and searches into it more.

Dean had snuck his passport into a woman's bag before sighing. He knew he would have to leave Italy somehow and he had the perfect idea. He moves towards the boat, producing some money to the man who seems to shrug, letting Dean into the boat without a moment's hesitation.
