Donna continued to bang on Ava's door.

"I SWEAR GIRL IF YOU DON'T ANSWER I'LL BREAK THIS DOOR DOWN MYSELF! I'VE TRAINED IN THE ARMY!" Donna shouted.

Ava giggled. She pulled out her dusty duffle bag from under the bed. She'd been waiting so long. So so long.

Ava teared up.

She started to shove all her clothes into the duffle bag. Her only other shirt, her other pair of pants, and a hat. She already had her only socks on her feet. Oh, and she put on the bowling shoes she got for free that one time.

She shoved her iPod touch into her pocket, swung the duffle bag over her shoulder, and walked over to the door.

"Donna, let me out. I will explain!" Ava said.

Donna stopped banging and stepped away from the door.

Ava unlocked the door and walked out. "Ok."

"Ok." Kelly said and crossed her arms.

"So I just got adopted. By Jonathan Groff. And Lin-Manuel Miranda."

"WE KNOW!!" Kelly and Donna shouted together.

"Like Hamilton!!!" Ava said and laughed.

Donna laughed.

Kelly laughed.

Donna pulled Ava into a hug. "Promise you'll visit?"

"Of course! I'll invite you guys over if the Sisters allow it."

"Oh they will." Kelly said.

Ava laughed nervously. She patted the sides of her thighs.

Donna stared blankly at the wall.

"So." Kelly said. "We'll see you sometime soon."

"Yep! Sure will." Ava said.

"Tell us ALL about being adopted. And Jonathan Groff. O-M-G! Will you call him dad?!" Donna said.

"We'll just have to see!" Ava said.

The time was 3:45pm. Ava was waiting on the floor at the door of the orphanage with Donna. Kelly left, she said she had to go to the bathroom.

"Uggggh. Where are they?!" Donna said.

"Patience..." Ava said. She would wait forever for her parents, considering she'd already been waiting 10 years.

"I don't got patience!" Donna sighed into her knees.

"They're not picking YOU up!" Ava said.

Donna looked upset. "I'm going to go find Kelly. Give us a shout when they get here." She said.

"Ok." Ava said. Sorry. She wanted to say.

She tapped her fingers along the tiled floor. Tap tap tap.

She checked her iPod touch. 3:49pm.

"C'mon..." Ava said to herself.

She heard a car drive by. She got up and opened the door, but it continued driving. She sat back where she was sitting on the floor.

Tap tap tap. She tapped her fingers on the floor more.

3:52pm.

Tap tap tap.

3:53pm.

"This is soooo boring." Ava hung her head.

She heard footsteps and looked up to see Kelly. She seemed unusual, but she always seems unusual.

"Where'd Donna go? I just finished in the washroom."

Ava looked at her like she was crazy. "Dude, looking for you. You went to the bathroom like 20 minutes ago."

"Oh. Sorry." Kelly said.

"It's whatever." Ava said.

Ava checked the time again. It was 4 minutes to 4pm.

"I thought they'd be early but... maybe I was wrong." Ava said.

But right when she said that, another car drove by.

She ran out the door. It stopped in front of the doors of the orphanage. A blue Volkswagen with purple tinted windows. The height of luxury.

She waves at Groff who was sitting in the passengers seat, who excitedly waved back.

Ava ran back in and grabbed her duffle bag. "This is it Kelly!"

Kelly smiled for her. "I'm so happy for you!"

"DONNA!!!!" Ava shouted. Donna didn't appear.

Groff stepped out of the car before Lin. He made his way to the door.

"Hiya, Ava!" Groff said.

"Hi!" Ava said.

"Hi, Ava." Lin said, smiling.

She smiled back.

"This is all my stuff," she proudly held up her duffle bag with a hole pierced through the side, "I can carry it myself."

"If you insist." Groff said.

"I do! I just have to wait for my other friend to say goodbye."

"We can wait." Groff said.

Lin tapped his foot on the pavement.

Suddenly, I heard a very familiar shriek.

"AHHHH! IT'S HAPPENING!" Donna shrieked. She ran up to me and gave me a big hug. Kelly joined in.

"You be good! I won't be there to keep you in check!" Donna said.

"Yeah!" Kelly said.

"Haha!" Ava said. "Don't worry! Well, I should go. See you guys soon!"

"See you Ava!" Said Donna.

"Yeah, see you." Said Kelly.

Ava smiled and turned back to Lin and Groff. "Ok. We can go."

She got into the back of the blue Volkswagen.
