The boys were on their way to rehearsal for their special stage.

Everyone was putting in 110% to deliver the best performances this year, so this meant little rest and sleeping whenever they possibly could. All of them, except Taehyung, Jungkook, and Hoseok, were asleep, the movement of the van rocking them into their dreams.

Taehyung hummed along to the music playing through his earphones, looking out the window and not really paying attention to what tune he was crooning. It wasn't until Jungkook nudged his arm with a knowing smirk on his face that Taehyung realized just how loud he was humming.

"Stay? You're so whipped,"

"Says the one who begged me to order them another lightstick," Taehyung retorted, turning his head back to the window.

Jungkook just shrugged, not denying his rebuttal. He reached over and stole one of the buds out of Taehyung's ear to listen in to the rest of the song.

Minutes later, the van slowed down to a stop as they reached the venue, dropping them off at the entrance reserved for performers. The boys filed out of the vehicle, still half-asleep as they dragged their feet into the building.

Adjusting his beanie, Taehyung gestured to his members that'd he'd be heading to the restrooms first and would catch up with them onstage. With quick steps, Taehyung spotted the sign for the restrooms. He made a sharp turn at the corner, accidentally knocking a person to the ground.

"Oof—"

"I'm sorry! I didn't see you there," Taehyung apologized, immediately grabbing their hand to assist them up.

"No, no. It was my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going," They dusted themself off before finally looking up at him. Taehyung found himself staring into two twinkling eyes.

"Jisoo-ssi?"

Taehyung was caught off-guard, not expecting to run into a BLACKPINK member and not expecting her to look so effortlessly flawless in only a pair of sweats and an oversized shirt.

"Oh, V-sunbaenim!" She cheerfully bowed to greet him, as if she wasn't just on the ground a couple of seconds ago. "You guys are here for rehearsal, right?"

"Y-Yeah, we just arrived. What are you doing here? I thought you guys go on later," Taehyung stuttered, still a bit starstruck.

This was the very first time Taehyung talked to her, only exchanging polite bows with BLACKPINK during award shows and music shows.

"There was a last-minute change in the setlist, so that's why we're here now,"

Taehyung began to walk alongside Jisoo as they made small talk about the show later that night, forgetting about having to go to the restroom. He adjusted his strides, slowing his steps so he could walk next to Jisoo.

He listened attentively as she comfortably shared what her group would be performing despite having met him only minutes ago. The way she talked with him was so natural and comfortable. Although they had just started talking, her company already made him feel at ease.

Soon enough, they arrived in front of her waiting room.

"Sorry about what happened earlier. I should've been more careful," Taehyung scratched the back of his neck and looked down at his feet.

"Yeah... I think I'm going to need a patch for my back later," She grimaced, placing a hand behind her and stretching a bit.

His eyebrows scrunched together in concern. Taehyung didn't like when others got hurt, especially if it was because of him.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" he pivoted around in search for some ice when Jisoo reached out to hold him back by his wrist. He stopped and turned to look at her, puzzled.

"I'm just teasing! I'm okay, it's nothing serious," Her eyes were crescents as she giggled at his expression. His confusion turned into admiration, and he found himself smiling back.

"Why don't we drop formalities?" Taehyung suggested after her laughter subsided.

Jisoo nodded and finally let go of his wrist. Taehyung glimpsed the time from the clock above Jisoo's head, his eyes widening in realization.

"You can call me Taehyung . I gotta go, but it was nice seeing you, Jisoo. Take care,"

They bowed to each other in farewell and parted ways, Jisoo returning to her dressing room and Taehyung rushing back to the restrooms, full-speed ahead after noticing almost ten minutes had gone by.

He was doing an awful lot of running lately.
