It was another day of filming for Jinyoung, Jisoo, and Doyoung. Over the last couple of months, JinJiDo had built up an undeniable on-screen chemistry as MC's for the music show.
Jisoo had been living in a monotonous state of mind. Being on an unofficial hiatus for months was excruciating for her and her members. Yes, it was a time of rest and relaxation, but she and the girls wanted to do what they were passionate about: Performing. Composing. Entertaining. And that's apparently what YG didn't quite understand.
She practically had to beg her CEO to let her take on the opportunity to be an MC. But it was worth it. Jisoo made the perfect host. She was funny, quirky, and was always respectful when focusing and listening to whoever was speaking. If she ever made a mistake, she'd remain professional and counter it with an adlib, even keying her signature "Nyeong-An" at some point which was becoming widely popular amongst the idol community.
BTS, Taehyung especially, had watched her previous interviews and were left impressed. Of course, not only was she a mesmerizing sight to see on the big screen, but Jisoo emitted the aura of a natural entertainer. She was magnetic.
Her evident dedication to her role was admirable, but Taehyung regretted not going after Jisoo to check up on her. Onscreen she maintained a bright disposition, but Taehyung was the only one to see the flash of helplessness in her eyes the night of that the award show.
During the weeks before their comeback, Taehyung couldn't shake the thought of that one particular girl out of his head. What could make one person change so much in only a couple of hours?
The boys were promoting their new song at Inkigayo and today was the day he would get to see Jisoo again. Taehyung could tell that something was askew, and he hoped that he could talk to her again to give her some peace of mind.

"Hyung switch places with me,"
"What? Why?"
"Please?" Taehyung pulled on a set of puppy dog eyes as Yoongi blankly stared back at him.
They were in position for their interview at Inkigayo and miraculously, Taehyung would be standing next to Jisoo.
If only Yoongi would agree to switch places with him.
"We're already starting. It's too late," Yoongi murmured and nudged him in the arm to look ahead at the camera.
Taehyung's shoulders sagged, giving up on making a deal with his hyung, and turned to face the front. He instinctively removed the pout from his face as he noticed the red recording light focused on them.
"The globally acclaimed Bang, Bang, Bang, Bangtan is here! It's BTS!"
The trio were already positioned in front of them, reciting the introduction to their group until they dispersed to start the script. Doyoung on their left, Jisoo and Jinyoung on their right.
"2! 3! Hello, we are BTS!"
Taehyung was doing their usual greeting when he felt Yoongi stiffen and shuffle beside him. Taehyung trained his eyes on the monitor in front of them, curious about what had made his hyung smile so awkwardly unlike his usual poker faced expression.
He was so focused on looking at the screen in front of them that he almost forgot it was his turn to speak. Having noticed this, Jisoo covered her mouth with her hand, hiding an amused smile.
After the introduction of the next idol group, Taehyung turned to Yoongi, itching to know what had the older boy on his toes the whole duration of the interview.
"Jisoo-ssi!" Yoongi called out and followed after her before Taehyung could ask him anything.
She turned around at the call of her name, confusion written over her face as the dark-haired boy nervously tugged at his ear lobe. Yoongi inaudibly says something that causes her wary look to be immediately replaced with a reassuring grin, making Taehyung gulp at the way her eyes crinkle in kindness.
"Hyung! What were you guys talking about?" Taehyung's eyes were expectant as Yoongi trudged his way back to their group. He was out of earshot to listen into their conversation
"Nothing important,"
"What'd you say?"
"Why do you wanna know?" he raised an eyebrow, wondering why Taehyung was so adamant in knowing what their discussion was about.
"Why can't you tell me?"
"If you're so curious, why don't you ask her yourself?" Yoongi snickered, placing a hand on his shoulder before walking away to where the others were waiting.
"Because—" Taehyung began before biting his lip.
He hadn't talked to her since the award show and he didn't know if it would be weird to ask. Making a decision, his eyes searched for Jisoo before they landed on her. She was standing alone, off to the side, looking through her cue cards.
"Hey, Jisoo," Taehyung waved as he slowly built up his courage, a knot of soft panic growing in the pit of his stomach. Just act natural, you idiot.
Jisoo looked up, alert, but relaxed at the sight of his boxy grin, "Hey, what's up?"
My heart rate, was what he wanted to say, but Taehyung forced himself to stay calm. Here goes nothing.
"Do you like books?"
