He's My Jonah - A Jyrus Story (COMPLETED)

Chapter 2

Jonah couldn't help but think about the journey that Cyrus had been on. If Amber understood how scared he was, maybe she would understand more.

Jonah: I want to tell you about how Cyrus came out.

Amber: I don't want to know.

Jonah: I don't care, you're going to listen.

*Flashback*

Cyrus had invited Andi, Buffy, Jonah, TJ, Walker and Marty over to his house. He just wanted to hang out with all of his friends. Cyrus had been wanting to talk to them about a very personal thing that he had been keeping secret.

Cyrus: Guys, I wanna tell you something.

Jonah: Okay dude, what is it?

Cyrus: I... don't know how to say it.

Andi: Just be honest.

Buffy: You know there is nothing to be afraid of.

As much as he felt empowered, Cyrus couldn't find the words. It was almost as if his mind was preventing him from making a mistake. He began to cry lightly, feeling like he was never going to be able to live his truth and that he would forever be alone.

Cyrus: I was wrong, this is not a good idea.

Jonah: Why would you think that? Whatever it is you need to tell us, will not change anything.

Cyrus: I'm just so scared!

TJ: Don't worry about anything.

Walker: It will be okay.

Jonah: We're here for you.

Cyrus' face lit up when Jonah said that. Having his secret crush being so encouraging was enough for Cyrus to finally say it.

Cyrus: I'm gay!

Cyrus had shut his eyes, not wanting to see the reaction of his friends. After a moment, he felt a pair of arms wrapped lovingly around him. He thought that it would be Buffy or maybe even Andi, but it was Jonah.

Jonah: Cyrus, look at me.

Cyrus: J-Jonah...

Jonah: I told you everything would be fine, and it is. I'm sorry that you felt like you couldn't tell us, but I'm always gonna be here for you.

Cyrus: Y-you mean that?

Jonah: Of course.

Cyrus: Thank you!

Jonah: Thank you for telling us.

TJ: As long as you are happy and comfortable with it, why should we have a problem?

Andi: Just remember you don't have to keep secrets from us.

Buffy: There is nothing we would hate you for.

Jonah kept Cyrus in his arms, wanting to show his friend just how much he cared. Looking up to meet Jonah's eyes, Cyrus saw so much compassion and he knew everything would be okay.

Marty: We're not gay though in case your wondering.

Walker: *nudges Marty* It's probably not the best time to say that dude, this is a beautiful moment!

*End of Flashback*

Jonah looked at Amber, and she was still looking disgusted with the idea of Cyrus being gay, much to Jonah's annoyance.

Amber: He really is pathetic isn't he?

Jonah: No he's not Amber. And frankly if you don't like it you should just go out with TJ.

Amber: Maybe I will, that'll make you jealous.

Jonah: Actually, TJ likes you, he told me that before we started going out. I'm done with you, so go to him!

Amber: Fine! You're the one who'll be sad!

Jonah: Anything would be better than going out with you right now!

Amber stormed away, leaving Jonah feeling both annoyed and relieved. The first thing he wanted to do was go and talk to Cyrus.

He rushed back to the Spoon, hoping that Cyrus would still be there. Entering the Spoon, he saw Cyrus was there, but had clearly been crying. This made Jonah feel really guilty.

Jonah: Hey.

Cyrus: Why aren't you with Amber?

Jonah: I didn't like the way she was talking about you. I broke up with her and she's going to ask TJ out.

Cyrus: Oh, he'll be pleased about that.

Jonah didn't know what to say, but he remembered that Cyrus was going to tell him something, and he wanted to try and get him to talk about it.

Jonah: Why don't you tell me about what you wanted to say before I left.

Cyrus: Well, I don't think that it would matter anymore!

Jonah: Cyrus, you always matter, stop making out that you mean nothing, because that's just not true!

Cyrus: Maybe I'll tell you later.

Jonah: Okay, but promise me you'll actually tell me.

Cyrus: I promise. I've gotta go now though.

Jonah: Can I come back to your place? I want to talk to you about some things this time.

Cyrus: Fine, just don't pressure me to tell you anything.

Jonah: Deal.

Cyrus: Let's go!

Cyrus led Jonah back to his house, feeling apprehensive about what may happen. He was really interested in what Jonah had to say though.
