Chapter 5

The next morning, Cyrus woke up next to Jonah, and remembered what had happened the day before. He felt like getting up and jumping with joy, but he also didn't want to wake Jonah up.

He didn't have to worry about that for too long, as Jonah opened his eyes a minute later. They smiled at one another, mutually signalling their love.

Jonah: Morning Cyrus.

Cyrus: Well good morning to you Jonah.

Jonah: What's the plan for today?

Cyrus: I know it's very soon, but...

Jonah looked at Cyrus in confusion, for Cyrus had become very tense once again. This time, Jonah kissed him on the cheek and looked at him warmly.

Jonah: But what?

Cyrus: I want to tell Andi and Buffy and the rest of the gang, about us.

Jonah: You sure you're ready for this?

Cyrus: I have the most wonderful guy in the world, I wanna be proud.

Jonah: In that case, we'll do just that.

Cyrus: But no one knows you are... you know...

Jonah: You can say it.

Cyrus: Gay.

Jonah: Well, it's about time they knew.

They got ready very promptly, the excitement becoming almost too much for them to handle. It was not long before they were walking to the Spoon.

Luckily, all of their friends were there, which meant that they could come out to them all at the same time. Andi sat next to Walker, with Buffy sat next to Marty.

Cyrus: Hey guys!

Andi: Hello.

Buffy: You certainly look happy.

Jonah: Probably because we are *said with sass*.

Cyrus: You're too much, you know that?

Jonah: You wouldn't have me any other way.

It was all very well, but everyone else had no context as to what was happening. It was great to see Cyrus happy, but they didn't understand.

Walker: Is there something you're not telling us.

Marty: I feel like you're hiding something.

Jonah: Okay, first thing I need to tell you is that, I'm... gay.

Andi: I knew it!

Jonah: What?

Buffy: Come off it Jonah, the eyes you give Cyrus.

Walker: It's okay though, nothing changes.

Marty: Again, we're not gay...

Walker: For goodness sake, you make it sound like we're a couple!

Marty: But we're not!

Walker: Exactly, stop making such a point of saying we're not gay, people will get suspicious.

Marty: Fine

Andi and Buffy found it very amusing to see their boyfriends be so over-dramatic, but there was still more to be said.

Andi: It's all okay Jonah, as long as you're happy.

Jonah: Thanks.

Buffy: So, anything else?

Cyrus: Jonah and I are... sort of... dating.

Andi: Are you? I'd never have guessed!

Buffy: I've waited a while for this day.

Just as they were about to continue, TJ and Amber walked over hand in hand. This made the atmosphere awkward once more.

TJ: Hey everyone!

Andi: Hi TJ.

Cyrus: I see you talked to Amber.

TJ: And I see you talked to Jonah.

Jonah: We're really happy, what about you?

TJ: I am too, things worked out well for us all.

Buffy: But what about you Amber? Are you still an arrogant bitch!

TJ: Okay, bit rude!

Amber: No, it's okay. They're right to be like this.

The day kept getting more and more confusing, as now Amber was being nice, TJ was her boyfriend and she was looking at Jonah and Cyrus.

Jonah: What?

Amber: I'm really sorry Jonah, for what I said about Cyrus, and I did sort of figure out that you were gay already.

Cyrus: You worked it out?

Amber: Yes, that was why he went out of his way, he was overcompensating for the fact that he would never love me.

Andi: So it really did get better for all of us?

Buffy: Sure seems that way.

Cyrus couldn't wait anymore, and kissed Jonah, the first time he did so in public. It was met by lots of nice comments and smiles.

Andi: Why are you always so cute?

Buffy: It took you long enough.

Marty: But remember---.

Walker: If you say one more word, I swear I am gonna lose it!

Marty: O-okay!

They laughed at how scared Marty had become of Walker at that point. Somehow everyone knew that they were all in their correct relationships.
