IM Not You!

Chapter 3

Narrative POV

The teacher walked into class and look at his student for a few seconds before giving them a serious look. "Its time to talk about your future aspiration but I know all of you wants to be a hero!" he announced. The class cheered and started showing off their quirks except for two students. "Quiet down now. You know the rule, you aren't allowed to used your quirk in school" the teacher reminded.

As the class quite down, the teacher inspect the paper he held in his hands. "Oh! I see that Bakugo planned to applied for UA!" he exclaimed.

"Hell yeah!" the sandy haired student answered. The teacher then looked again at the papers. "Oh! It seems Yagi also want to apply for UA!" he exclaimed. The students then look at the silent green haired student who has a bored expression on his face. They then erupt in laughter but one did not, rather his red eyes showed his anger.

 "HAHAHA! THERE'S NO WAY YOU CAN JOIN THE HERO COURSE THERE WITHOUT A QUIRK" They exclaimed.

All Izuku did was glance at them and looked back outside. There was no point on explaining that he does have some quirks. His own parents wouldnt even listen nor believe him since he was diagnose to be quirkless. Even after six years since his first quirk manifested, nothing still changes. The only one who knew that he have a quirk was the shop owner and Dabi. What difference would it do now if he show his quirk. He just want this last day of school to end already.

He and Dabi have some plans tomorrow to train their quirks.

"DEKUUU!!" then there was an explosion on his desk.

"YOU QUIRKLESS REJECT!! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN GO TO UA WITH ME!! YOUR JUST A DEKU!! YOUR USELESS AND WEAK!!" Bakugo exclaimed while showing some explosion on his hands.

 Then for a few seconds after hearing those words, Izuku used his quirk with him realizing.

Katsuki couldn't breath and was thrown across the room without him being touch by Izuku. Everybody was quiet for a few seconds. Katsuki was speechless. He didn't know what just happened exactly. The only he called Deku just somehow threw him without moving. He was angry but the teacher somewhat calm them down and resume class.

---------- After School -----------

After another confrontation with Bakugo after class and then being told by him to take a swan dive off a building, Izuku gather his things and starts to walk home.

As he was passing under a bridge, he was suddenly grab by a slime-like substance. It grab both his arms and feet and covered his mouth. "HAHA! A meat shield and just in time too" it said. He couldn't move and it was getting harder to breath but just then he heard a familiar voice. A voice he knew to well.

"I AM HERE!" shouted All Might as he landed. "Don't worry I will save you!" he exclaimed. He then punch the slime villian which resulted with the walls covered in slime. As Izuku starts to regain his bearing, he looked at All Might standing before him.

"Are you alright young man?" All Might asked. But as he looked closer, All Might realized that it was his own son that he just rescued. 'What is Izuku doing on this part of town? But first I should check if he's okay' he thought.

 Once Izuku's okay he wanted to ask one of the things thats been on his mind. All Might was standing infront of him and he knew that if anyone could answer his question, All Might would.

"Um, All Might sir? Before you go, can I ask you something?" he asked as he looked at All Might

'Oh no, please don't' All Might thought as he knew what was going to happen next. It was something he was afraid of.

"As far as I can remember, I always wanted to be a hero. When I was 4yrs old, I was diagnose to be quirkless. Since then everything change. Even my parents change. It was like something change in them that made things more heavier. So I wanted to ask you, Do you think a quirkless person be able to become a hero?"

Toshinori doesn't know how to answer. He wanted to support Izuku's dream. However, as a hero and a concern father, he needs to keep Izuku safe. He knows the danger of being a hero. He knew what needs to be done. He knew its cruel but he needs to keep his son safe even if it means destroying his dreams of being a hero.

"A Hero's work is dangerous. You never know what's going to happen during work. Even with a quirk, its still will be dangerous. So Im sorry my boy, you cant be a hero without a quirk."

All Might finally said it. He could no longer look at his son's eyes anymore after telling him the harsh reality of the hero industry.

"I see, thank you for answering me and Im sorry for taking so much of your time. I better go now" And with that, he left All might standing there.

'A quirk really defines you in this world. Without a quirk, you cant be anything and you'll be seen as different from others.' Izuku thought as he wonder whats next for him.
