A loud cry tore itself from my throat, red clouding my vision. Blood was splayed from my body, falling onto the ground in puddles before they formed into a large seal around me with the mobility of ribbons. The red of my vision only accentuated the agony further.

After my curiosity had been answered, the ancient god and I had come to an agreement. A deal, if you will. That deal resulted in the ritual that was taking place, draining me of my blood and reviving me and my chakra. Wind thrashed the thin, white curtains of the room that I was in.

"Where is my body right now, Shinigami?" I asked as one of my final questions.

"You're in a hospital, at Konoha." He answered.

"Konoha? Are Haku and Zabuza still alive?"

"Yes. Your efforts were not in vain, young Haruno."

"Good." A content smile broke through my emotional barrier.

Another scream erupted from my vocal cords, tearing my flesh from the insides. 'It's alright,' the god of Death assured me. 'It's almost over.' I couldn't give any response. The door flew open, and a few medics ran in. Through their white coats, I could see the silver of Kakashi's hair. But, my wind tore at their clothes with the intensity of a demon, and they were forced back.

The seal of blood around me glowed, pulsing with light in sync with my erratic heartbeat. It was only getting faster before it stayed in light.

"AAGH!" My eyes were activated, and I could see immeasurable chakra pulsating in the room.

Coming from me.

It started off as a burning sensation, as my body had not been used to containing this much power. The scarlet red diamonds cluttered around on my body, embedded in my flesh, took shape once again. Markings, the color of black, shot out from one red diamond to the next, making a network of spiderweb-like markings. Power, unimaginable, gave the sensation of energy buzzing through my veins with the heat of the sun.

And then the blood seal rose from its place on the ground. It's size reduced to the size of my eye.

"Do we have a deal?"

"..."

The Shinigami was patient as he waited for my answer. I looked from my hands, to the ground.

"Yes," I gave the affirmative, thinking of Sakura's smiling face. Of the peaceful look in her emerald eyes.

Of the way that she would no longer have to suffer because of me.

The seal split into two seals, identical. Then they disappeared.

My eyes started burning, blood falling from them in steady streams. I clutched at my face, closing my eyes as to prevent myself from clawing them out. I couldn't confirm the validity of my beliefs, but I thought that I could feel the warmth of my tears mingle with the trails of blood that tracked down my face. The seals then reformed inside of my irises.

Once the pain shifted, from hot to a pleasant cool. I softened my stature. I hadn't even realized it through the ordeal, but I had been tensed, body convulsing in pain.

The bed that I had previously been on was ripped to shreds, leaving me on the linoleum floor, kneeling.

Crying.

How many times have I cried, in this year alone? Too many times for me to be okay with.

"Tsubaki!" I heard the man cry, swiftly running over to me. He slid down, and grasped my by the shoulders, the one attacked by Chidori fully healed by the will of Death's god. "What happened? What the hell did you just do?"
