I arrived quickly, feeling powerful chakra radiating from the building where I knew Orochimaru had begun fighting Hiruzen. As soon as my eyes caught onto where they were, a dark purple barrier appeared behind me, keeping a group of newly arrived ANBU from entering. I turned around, looking at them as one ran right into the flat wall of the barrier before falling back, on fire.

He was most likely dead.

”Barrier,” the ANBU in a cream white cloak told the three others behind him.

〰️➿〰️

One, dead.,

One, a captain.

Three others...

Five ANBU.

I looked at their masks, realization setting in.

"You..." my voice shook. The five ANBU that would always appear when I was in the presence of the Hokage... I stepped forward, fist shaking. "You are all truly despicable," I said, emotions shutting down.

No, I do not need to hide any longer...

My eyes glowed, the triangles spinning in them, and markings shooting out all over my skin. I felt anger... I felt hatred...

I felt like an edgy, teenage ninja that needed to kill something right now.

I walked towards the purple barrier, resting my hand on it. Instinctively, a layer of chakra had covered my hand to keep me from directly touching the barrier. I pressed harder on the barrier, feeling my hand go through...

I walked through the barrier, mind made up with complete certainty.

The captain stood, holding out a hand to signal to the ANBU behind him. I vaguely understood the gestures... he wanted them to keep me from running, but not to get involved with the fight. I looked over him, noticing the brown hair peeking under his cream-white hood. He... had to have something up his sleeve if he knew that he was about to fight someone with a completely new kekkei genkai.

But I still felt confident.

"Before I kill you... and the rest of your friends," my eyes swept over each of them before resting on the fried corpse of their last pal. "I want you to know what mistake you made when you each became ninja. When you swore loyalty to Konoha. The Hokage..."

A heart-broken grin rested on my face.

"I'll start with the story... of Uchiha Shisui."

A Tsubaki clone stopped suddenly, perching on a tree branch nimbly. Four others flickered onto other branches, but remained close enough, eyes sweeping over every inch of the forest they found themselves in.

’Found. Haku.’ One used the standard Konoha sign, (she made a note that the original Tsubaki would have to make up her own) looking at the others curiously.

’Answer. Negative.’ Each of them took turns in signing back.

’Chakra trail. Obsolete.’ One signed. Then, they all went rigid.
