I sighed and turned on the shower. I felt the water to make sure it was warm. I slipped off my clothes and hopped in, letting the warm water wash all my worries away.

I grabbed a towel from underneath the sink and wrapped myself in it. I opened the door and looked to see if anyone was in the hallway. I quickly tip-toed to my room. After changing I looked around the house to see Emily was gone.

I sighed. Now I was stuck with her gorgeously looking, sweet, and charming son. "Hey, is everything alright?" I turned around to see a boy, with striking emerald eyes, golden hair, and a weak smile plastered across his lips.

I blushed, and nodded. He raised a brow, "I noticed you don't really talk much..." He rubbed the back of his neck, "If your worried about losing another person you love... I can relate, I know what it feels like."

I looked up at him, he walked closer, biting his lip. "My dad died when I was eight..." I gave him a concerned and sympathetic look. He looked into my eyes, piercing straight through me. "My mom didn't want to date or remarry. So, she wanted to adopt a little girl, but when she heard about you she felt bad."

I looked to the side. "And she wanted to adopt you instead. She was so excited when she heard that you were finally moving in... She was so happy when she decorated your room. I just wanted you to know that." He offered me a warm smile.

I couldn't help but smile back, a crimson blush covering my cheeks. "You don't have to be afraid, talk to me." My smile went away. All those years of experience with death, and all the comforting each home tried to bring me. Ended up going all wrong. I didn't want to talk. My eyes got glossy, I didn't say a word.

"I-i'm sorry did I hurt you?" he asked, gently placing his hands on my shoulder, I pushed them off not wanting him to get sick or anything. I shook my head no. He gave me a concerned look, he sighed. "Come on, I'll show you around."

I nodded and he led me around the house, every room was organized, perfect. Nothing like my orphanage. After showing me around, I walked back to my room. I grabbed my bag, and opened it, there was:

• Clothes
• Toothbrush
• IPod & headphones

I grabbed the headphones and attached them to the Ipod. I turned on the song, way to good at goodbyes. (Song on the top)

🎶 You must think that I'm stupid...
You must think that I'm a fool...
You must think that I'm new to this...
But I have seen this all before... 🎶

Adrien opened the door, and I paused the music. "Hey, just checking in on ya." He looked at my headphones. "Whatcha listening to?" He asked, sitting next to me. I blushed and handed him a headphone. He smiled and pulled it in his ear.

I played the music.

🎶 I'm never gonna let you close to me,
Ever though you mean the most to me,
Cause every time I open up it hurts...
I'm never gonna get to close to you,
Even when I mean the most you,
In case you go and leave me in the dirt... 🎶

His expression showed sympathy, sadness, and understanding all at once, but he listened to the music.

🎶 Cause every time you hurt me, the less that I cry...
And every time you leave me, the quicker these tears dry...
And every time you walk out the less I love you...
Baby we don't stand a chance, It's sad but it's true...
I'm way to good at goodbye! (I'm way to good at goodbye!)
I'm way to good at goodbye... (I'm way to good at goodbye)-- 🎶

He took out the headphone, giving me a concerning look. "I know Your scared to open up. That you think it's just one of those other houses that comfort you, and it all ends up going the same way, but I promise you, it won't."

My lips parted in surprise, a slight blush painting my cheeks at his compassion. "Thank you. It means alot... More then you know." I said. I smiled, and bit my lip. I looked at him and he smiled back.

I giggled, for the first time... In a long time, I felt, the feeling of happiness.
