The morning eventually transitioned into early evening. Sara had just arrived home after completing another day of college classes. She stepped into her house, now completely empty due to her mom being away on a business trip. Sara threw her backpack down on the couch and went to the huge kitchen in search of food. She was slightly disappointed that her only food option was the leftover meatloaf from two days ago. "Meatloaf sandwich, it is.", Sara mumbled to herself. Sara began making her "dinner", when her iPhone suddenly began to ring. She answered the phone and was greeted by a perky, "What up girl?" from her best friend, Kim.
Sara and Kim had been bffs since the day after forever. Sara protected Kim and Kim always stood up for Sara. Sara was definitely happy to always hear from her partner in crime.
"Nothing much. Just about to eat this leftover meatloaf surprise, my Mom made.", Sara responded.
"My condolences to your stomach.", Kim jokingly said. Sara and Kim continued to talk for several minutes. The topics ranged from the drama that took place that day on campus, to the on again/off again relationship between Kim and her boyfriend. Kim mentioned about coming over to Sara's house.
However, Sara told Kim that Mrs. Lopez had already squashed that idea before she left for her trip. The two young women eventually wrapped up their conversation, as the night carried on.
