She woke up the next morning, 7:45am to be exact, and was immediately greeted with thunder from the night's storm. She slowly crawled out of bed and made her way to the bathroom to wash her face and comb her hair. She walked back to her bed, picked up her iPhone, unlocked it, and saw that there were several missed calls from her Mom. "Jeez, what I do now?", Sara quietly said to herself.
She then swiped right on her iPhone screen to find her email app. However, something caught her eye. The Nest camera app displayed several missed notifications. Mrs. Lopez had the Nest security system installed months ago due to wanting to feel more safe. After all, it was just her and her daughter living in the house. And the part of Austin, where they resided, wasn't always the safest place.
The missed notifications on the Nest app wasn't completely out of the ordinary. After all, the cameras were throughout the entire house and they picked up even the smallest sound. What had Sara dumbfounded was the amount of notifications, which was 57. Upon further investigation, Sara realized that the notifications were all photos that the Nest camera had sent to her phone. The camera would send a photo whenever it would sense any type of movement or hear a sound. Sara, still confused, began to swipe through the photos. The first photo notification was sent at 2:03am and it was from the living room camera. Sara looked at the photo and saw that there was nothing out of the ordinary.
