By this point, it was little after 11:05pm. The weather had also taken a slight turn for the worse, as rain and above average winds could be heard from inside the two story house. Sara had just finished working on an assignment for her Calculus class. She decided to do a quick social media check before calling it a night and getting some sleep.
"Oh my God, are you serious?", she said to herself, in response to an Instagram photo of one of her drunken friends.
She eventually turned off her computer, the lights, put her headphones on, and officially called it a night. She went through several playlists on her iPhone before finally settling on one that was filled with classic rock. She also enabled the "Do Not Disturb" function on her smartphone because she hated getting annoying app notifications in the middle of the night. Sara fully drowned out the rest of the world with the help of her favorite artists.
The night carried on and Sara found herself having a hard time getting to sleep. She continued to listen to her shuffled playlist, even singing a few songs as well. She kept her eyes closed, with the blanket fully over her head, in hopes it would make her fall asleep faster. The hours continued to slowly pass by and Sara eventually fell off to sleep.
