Hating Poetry

I hate poetry with passion

Poetry is like a potent poison

Preventing me from prospering

Potentially partaking in the narrative of my death

Poetry plants a field of poppies ready to knock me out with one breath

Practically ceasing the peace of pen on paper

Picking up a pen leaves me blue and purple

Never passing for a poet

Picking a peck of pickled peppers

Peter Piper already plucked that line

Pumping gas in my pickup truck

Peckish because I didn't get my pancakes

Punching through fictional walls

Need to take a break because poetry is a plague

Primed for pajamas and popcorn
