Morning

In the morning
He'd be sprawled out
On that velvet green couch

I'd lay with him under the blanket
Hair tickling my chin
Talking of places that we've never been

You always wore those big glasses
A trend that you claim
Never passes
Even though you still had to squint
At the words in a book
I secretly loved how your glasses fogged up
when you tried to cook

I was always right next to you through and through
Fake laughing at your jokes
But you never knew

The funniest one was when you said
"Your the kind of girl people don't want to live without."

You lied
Because if that were true
Why wasn't I enough for you?
