I presented the poem today and EVERYONE CLAPPED AND CHEERED!!!!!
ACK I WAS SO HAPPY THAT I MADE ANOTHER AND IT GOES LIKE THIS!!!!!
"If I held her hand
Walked around town
And was out and about
Would you grimace?
If I hugged her tight
And she hugged back,
Not wanting to part
Would you roll your eyes?
If me or her got down on one knee
Pulling out a ring
And asked our parents for our hands in marriage
Would you look away in shame?
Or would you smile and clap?
Be happy for us?
And love us for who we are?
I wonder."
Because like it's freakin true brooooo!!!!!!
Anyways.
For everyone who doesn't know wtf I'm talkin about-
I told sugar yesterday that I made a poem about the LGBTQ+ community and I was gonna present it in front of the class.
The poem is called The Flag and it goes like this-
"Red- I can love who I want, so you don't have to taunt.
Orange- I'm masculine and I'm gay, so I can say what I say
Yellow- we both can't decide so don't make us choose a side
Green- we live and we love, let us be free like a dove
Blue- while we were repressed we became depressed
Purple- this isn't an excuse, cause it's me not you
We put these colors on a flag, so you don't have to gag, we won't brag but don't put us in a bag
We have now won and have become
A topic to talk about but not for clout
And now that I've said this and I have to go
Just keep in mind
You can show what you wanna show"
It's like from the perspective of the LGBTQ+ members and all that and I was just bored at the time and my friend helped me make it! So I presented that one called The Flag and everyone was asking afterwards if I was going to make more and I did make one more as I promised to them!!!!!!

Also I know some of those lines aren't the best but I tRiEd gUyS!
