"Use the chair as much as possible. I've put a note in your bag for gym and some extra pain killers just Incase. There's some Dr Pepper in there too that you can take them with and some pb&j sandwiches. If they teachers give you any attitude-"
"Honestly Alec you could give an aspirin a freaking headache. Calm down I'll be fine okay?" Theo said from the passengers seat of Bella's rusted truck. She stood up slowly out of her wheelchair as Bella places it in the truck. Alec stared at her for a moment longer with a hard expression on his face. He finally gave in wrapping her in a hug. He finally let her go as she gave him a small smile. Alec helped her into the truck as she and Bella drove off down the road towards Forks high school.
Theo stared at her reflection in the rear view mirror taking in her appearance. Her face was free of make up giving her an almost youthful appearance of it wasn't for the bags under her eyes. Her hair was in the usual lose waves framing her face. She wore an old Led Zeppelin T-shirt with her grey jeans and black denim jacket. She looked to her doc martens seeing the mud still clinging to them after the other night.
"So what's with the chair?" Bella asked her.
"Carslile didn't think I was ready to go back to school but I couldn't sit for another week in that house. So we made a compromise. Meet Dortha." Theo said with a smirk casting a glance as the back of the truck seeing the chair.
"Dortha rocks. I don't think I could have lasted another week without you so if it means I need to push you around then by all means." Bella laughed.
"Yeah take your chance cause no one pushes me around." Theo said with a smirk.
Bella scoffed at her as the two girls entered the parking lot. Theo felt better already having Bella by her side but seeing everyone's eyes on her immediately before she even got out the car definitely dampened her mood.
"Hey just ignore them okay?" Bella said reassuringly. Theo gave her a slight not as Bella got out the truck. She brought the chair around to Theos side waiting for her.
Theo looked for a moment at all the people with hungry eyes waiting to devour her as soon as she got out of the car. Tears started to brim her eyes as she started to panic. Bella gave her a soft smile through the window. Just as Theo was about to tell her she couldn't do it, there was a loud whooping from across the lot. Emmet Cullen stood shouting at nothing in particular as everyone's attention was suddenly on him.
Theo took the opportunity to step slowly out of the truck, careful not to tear her stitches. She sat down in the chair with a sigh as Bella places her hands on the chair pushing her forward.
Just as she was beginning to regret her deduction on coming to school she looked up to see her friends. Mike, Jess, Eric and Angela all stood in their usual spot holding a banner.
"Welcome back Moretti."
They all stared at her with wide smiles as every started cheering and whooping. Her eyes filled with tears and she smiled her first genuine smile that week.
"I know we said about having good origin story's and all, but I didn't think you'd take it this seriously." Eric said bending down to hun her.
"Yeah I'll give black widow a run for her money now." Theo smiles letting him go. The two had always been huge marvel fans and spent hours watching the movies together.
"You scared me half to death. Don't do that to me ever, ever, ever again okay?" Angela said pushing Eric aside to crush her in a hug. Theo didn't have the words so she just nodded her head the tears spilling from her eyes.
Jess was next as she hugged her. She didn't say anything for a moment just staying there holding her. Theo nestled her head into Jesss shoulder grabbing onto her. She didn't have to say anything she could feel it. "Don't worry. Even with those scars your still the biggest babe in Forks." Jess finally laughed pulling away.
Mike was the next to step up, kneeling down in front of the chair. "I thought I'd lost you." He whispered. The two stared at each other for a moment before he hugged her gently. No words had to be said she knew what her friends felt.
As she took a quick glance around her she saw people still staring. "I don't think I can do this." Theo mumbled.
"Yes you can we're right here with you." Bella replied.
All of a sudden her friends started to surround her blocking everyone's view of her. Theo pushes her chair forward while Mike and Bella stood behind her, Angela and Jess stood at her side and mike walked in front of her leading the groups way into school. They where going to protect their friend no matter what now.

I read both of these books at a time where I didn't have much and they honestly took my mind off it and made me feel ten times better.
