"AND THAT WAS
THE DAY IT STARTED.
THE REST OF MY LIFE."

Theodora Moretti stared at the scattered constellations painted on her celling. Her mother had painted them when she was no older than 5. When the Moretti family first moved from Italy, one of their youngest memebers  concerns was that she wouldn't be able to see her night sky.

Theo was always the rebellious child of the family and she would often sneak out of her room at night to go to the garden.
She would lay flat on her back in pure wonder as she stared at all the marvellous stars in the night sky. She would try count them along her tiny fingertips and give each one a new name of her choosing. So when her mother asked her what she would miss most about Italy as they moved across the world, The young girl told her she would miss her stars.

"Baby the stars are the same all over the world. You'll still be able to see them in Forks." The older woman told her as she patted her daughters back.
"It doesn't matter if I can still see them in Forks mama, they'll never be my stars. " The young girl replied with tear filled eyes.
Her mother looked at her with love in her eyes as she told her "I know they won't princess, but just because they aren't the first stars you've seen doesn't mean that you won't love them just as much as the old ones. Maybe even more."
This lead to Marie capturing a picture of the star filled night and painting it above the girls bed. Partly so that she would feel like she had a piece of home in Forks and partly to stop her from sneaking out at night.

Her heart ached at the memory of her mother but never the less she forced herself to get up. She had school to get to. She showered and did her make up before picking out an outfit. She walked down the stairs to the smell of toast in the kitchen.  Her brother Alec stood with his back to her as he buttered toast on the marble counter top.

Their house was bigger than most of the surrounding houses in Forks. With Calvin being a scientist and Marie owning the busiest Italian restaurant in Forks, the pair had added and added onto the smaller house and made sure the decor inside looked like something out of architectural digest.

Theo stared at her brothers back for a moment noticing how tense he seemed. Although, more often than not Alec was tense. It had became a personality trait.
"Are you just gonna stand there all day or are you gonna eat your breakfast?" He asked her rhetorically with his usual frown evident on his face. She stood there for a few moments trying to prove a point as he put a plate of toast on the table for her. He raised his eyebrows at the smirking girl, as though telling her not to test him today.

She rolled her eyes and sighed "God Alec lighten up will you?"
He looked at her for a moment feeling slightly regretful at the way he spoke to her. He'd been doing it a lot lately but he couldn't help himself. With the absence of their mother and father it had left Alec her legal guardian. It didn't help that he now also had the business to run since it had been put in his name before they disappeared. How was he meant to raise a 17 year old girl and run a business all on his own at the age of 21?
