Ellie froze as Alexanders lips kissed her own. What happened last night? Ellie thought.
Ellie pushed Alex off of her. "What are you doing?" She demanded in a louder voice than she wanted too. Alexander looked at Ellie wounded. Cat and Ashley had muted the TV and turned to look at the two. "Why is everyone looking at me like that?" Ellie snapped, then she realised how she was acting. Getting up she grabbed somebodies' jacket and marched outside. Ashley called out after her.
Outside was colder than Ellie expected, but she kept marching down the street in her pink two-piece and jumper. What had happened last night? Why was Alex trying to kiss me? I don't even like girls! Ellie shouted these things in her brain as if people were listening.
"Ellie Jesus Christ, wait up!" Ashley called out. She was still wearing her PJ's but Cat came up behind her wearing sweat pants under a t-shirt, somehow looking amazing without even trying. Ellie paused just so they could catch up.
"What happened in there?" Cat asked, she intertwined fingers with Ashley, somehow this pissed Ellie off even more.
"I could ask the same thing." Ellie huffed, rubbing her hands up and down her shoulders. Ashley gave Ellie a pained look. "Alex was just telling us what a night she had. She sounded really happy about it, but she wouldn't tell what it was... Until this morning."
Ellie through her hands up in the air. "Well good for her, I'm glad somebody remembers last night." Cat and Ashley looked at Ellie with grim faces. What's up with them? Ellie thought.
Ellie let out a nervous laugh. "Come on guys you know I'm not like that." Cat snapped her head up at this. "Like what?" She said.
Ellie looked around the neighborhood, there were people running up and down the street, some cars were passing by and blew wind into the three girls messy hair. Ellie shrugged, "I don't know." She sighed. Ashley tried to pull tighter on Cat as the dark girl moved forward. "Like us Ellie."
"No jeez! Don't over react. Come on you guys, I don't like girls, who even hooks up at parties like that!" Ellie raised her voice. "So you think hooking up at parties and being queer is wrong?" Cat raised her voice louder. Ashley tugged on Cat's sleeve. "Come on Cat you know she doesn't mean it like that."
"What if I do?" Ellie stared accusingly at Ashley, what is happening? Stop! But Ellie continued anyway. "You guys are so sensitive to people having different opinions, not everyone has to be LGBT you know! I thought we were friends because of that, and for once Ashley think for yourself, Cat can't tell you what to do forever!" Ashley covered her mouth with her hands, small tears forming at her eyes. "What are you doing?" Cat yelled.
Ellie took a step back from the two. "I'm just defending myself, all I'm saying is that I don't want to be labelled as ... one of you." The words came flying out of Ellie's mouth before she could stop them. "No wait!" She said immediately.
Cat turned away, "We've heard enough Ellie." And with that she took the crying Ashely with her.
Ellie watched them walk away before her eyes started burning. Giant Sobs escaped her mouth as she crouched down on the concrete. Passers looked at her with funny expressions. Just leave me here, I don't deserve friends.
"Ellie? Are you okay?" Somebody pulled up their car in front of the crying girl.
A hand reached down and helped Ellie get up, it was Cameron. "I screwed up Cam." Ellie managed to choke out.
Cameron Grimaced. "I kind of figured, come on I'll take you home." And he took Ellie's hand and led her to the car. Despite her vulnerable state Ellie couldn't help but nearly start sobbing again over Cameron's help, why was he so nice.
On the ride to her house Ellie explained everything. Like the gentleman he was Cameron didn't interrupt Ellie while she was speaking, when she finished he reached over the gear-stick and patted her shoulder. "They're your best friends, you guys will make up I promise." Ellie only sighed at this.
"But what about you, and that guy." Ellie teased; she genuinely needed some happy news. Cameron also sighed. "Elijah, that's his name, he's on the football team with me, and he doesn't remember a single thing about last night. He pushed me out of the room after I explained, he said he needed to sort out some things." Ellie could only feel guilty, that sounded a lot like her.
Cameron pulled up at Ellie house. "He's got to love you Cam. In fact I would have loved you by now if you weren't gay." Cameron chuckled but shook his head. "It's harder than that Ellie for me, especially if others find out."
Ellie crossed her heart. "I won't tell anyone. Thanks for the ride and comfort."
Cameron smiled at Ellie, "Anytime kid."

Hope you guys enjoyed, (I know it's short!), I really do hate writing fight/homophobic scenes. (ELLIE IS NOT HOMOPHOBIC; SHE IS JUST SURPRISED) I also really love Ellie and Cameron's friendship. More coming soon!
