"Wait, right now? Today?" I asked her. "Uh, yea." She said. I sighed. "Do I look presentable?" I asked her. "You look handsome babe." She said. I smiled. "Thank you." I said. Ever since I left LaVaughn, shit had been different without her in my life, but I can manage. Me and Imani really been kicking it since I got back. We made it official a month ago. It's been 5 months since I been back, and since I last spoke to LaVaughn.
Her birthday was coming up, and Ant wanted me to come to Texas to celebrate, just this one time. So I agreed. But, Imani was coming with me.
I heard LaVaughn and that nigga Mycah was together. I ain't stressing it, I got Imani so i'm good. "Come on." She said grabbing my hand. She opened the door to her parents house and walked in. "Mommy?" She called out. I was too busy looking at her ass to realize her mom and dad walked in. "Zaire." She called my name. I looked up and made eye contact with her mom. "My apologies." I said.
"Mom, this is Zaire. My boyfriend. Zaire this is my mom Lashonda, and my dad Ivan." She said introducing us. "Hey, nice to meet you." I said shaking their hands.

After I met with her parents, and we talked for a minute. We headed to the airport. "How long we gone be down there?" She asked. "For a week." I told her. "Okay good." She said.
The whole plane ride, she was sleep and I was thinking about nothing in particular.
"He should be here soon." I told Imani. "Who?" She asked. "Ant." I said. She nodded. "The part is today?" She asked. "Yea." I said. "Can we go to the hotel and change first, I look like trash." She said. "That's where we were going." I told her. "Oh ok." She said. When Ant pulled up, we hopped in and headed to the hotel.
"I look good?" Imani asked. "You look beautiful in anything you wear." I told her. "Well thank you baby." She said climbing on top of me. I began kissing on her neck as she wrapped her arms around my neck. "We gotta go." I said. "Let's go then." She said. She stood up and I stood up after grabbing my phone and the key for the room.
I walked out after her and we headed to the rental car that was sent for us. "You know where it's at?" She asked. "Yea, it's at her house." I said. She nodded. Imani understood what type of relationship me and LaVaughn had. She didn't mind if we were around each other, as long as I kept my word to her. "Okay." She said.
Soon, we pulled up and it was packed. We both hopped out and she grabbed my hand. We walked to the back and I immediately spotted LaVaughn. She looked so good.
I seen she was sitting on Mycah lap, so I turned the other way "You don't wanna sit?" Imani asked me. "Let me go say what's up to everybody first." I said. "Okay, hurry back." She said. I kissed her forehead before walking away going over to Ant. He ended up dropping Amauri, but found a better girl. Her name was Olivia. "What's up?"He said. I dapped him up, then I dapped up Dino, Tip, Bryce, and Cash. I gave Olivia a hug before I looked seeing LaVaughn staring at me.
I decided not to be rude and say what's up. "Hey." I said standing in front of her. "Hi." She said. "Happy birthday." I said smiling. "Thank you." She said. "I see you bought a guest." She said. "Yea, that's Imani." I said. "You wanna meet her?" I asked. "I'm good." She said.
"Don't start to shit phat." I said. "I'm not starting anything, have fun." She said rolling her eyes. "I see you haven't changed." I said walking away. This was my first time seeing her in months, and she still act the same. I shook my head making my way back to Imani. "You good? You mean mugging again." I told her. She broke into a smile and started giggling. "You always mean mugging somebody." I told her.
