Vacation was over, and we were back in Atlanta. Zaire went back to Las Vegas, and Ant, Olivia, and Ryleigh moved down here as soon as we got back. My store was finally about to open, and I was excited. "You ready?" Nia asked. "Yes ma'am." I said. Me and Nasir, that's over with. I figured he'll be a better friend than boyfriend.
We still talk, just as friends. "Let's go then. Nick already there." She said. I nodded grabbing my keys and handing them to her. "You can drive." I said. "Really?" She asked. I nodded.
She been wanting to drive for the longest, and she need to learn before she take her driving test. "Yay." She squealed. I got into the passenger seat and she hopped into the driver seat.
She drove us to the store and we hopped out. "Hey y'all." I said greeting. Jaelynn, and Kassidy. They were the first people I seen. "Maliyah!" I sung once I seen her. "Hey boo, I missed you." She said kissing my cheek. "I missed you more love." I said as I sat my things down at my station. "Hey Reign, Sania, and Ximena." I said. "Hey girly." Ximena said. "Hey." Reign replied. Sania ran over and sat on my lap. "Girl." I said. "I missed youuuu!" She sung.
"I missed you too." I said. "Now move, you heavy." I said. She stood up just as my phone started ringing.
"Hello?" I said answering the phone.
"Phat." I look at the phone seeing Zaire face appear.
"Yes sir?" I answered.
"Congratulations." He said smiling.
"Thank you ." I said smiling just as hard.
"I'm proud of you." He said.
"Really?" I asked.
"Fasho." He said. "Where you at?" He asked.
"The store." I said.
"Oh you about to open it now?" He asked.
"No, in 2 more hours." I said.
"That's what's up." He said.
"Where you going?" I asked him.
"To see my sister." He said.
"Tell her I said heey." I said.
"I got ya." He said. "Ima let you get back to that. Call me later." He said.
"Ok, I love you." I said.
"I love you too phat." He said.
I hung up the phone and placed back in my pocket. "What?" I asked once everyone was staring at me. "You and Zaire?" Keeara asked. "Definitely not." I said. "He has a girlfriend. Ryleigh remember?" I asked. "Oh yeah, her." Kiana said.
"Y'all would be cute though." Keeara said. "Ain't it?" Nia said. I shook my head. "That's long over." I said. "It's never too late." Maliyah said. "He moved on." I said. "I bet he didn't though." Kiana said. "He probably with ole girl so she can fill that spot." Keeara said. I shook my head but started thinking.
Me and Zaire would never work. It was something, but we don't know what that something is. We never understood why we couldn't work, but we never thought to think deeper.
2 hours went by faster then we thought. I turned the sign on so it would light up "open". Nia, pulled down the banner on the outside that read "Grand Opening". I smiled as people started piling in. "Hi." I said as someone sat in my chair. "I have a wedding to attend, here's the color of the dress." She showed me the color and I immediately got to work.
