Today was a basic day, I was at school, and didn't talk to Jess. We ignored each other the hole day. We sometimes gave each other glances, but that was it.
"Why aren't you talking to Jess anymore?" My brother asked me, when he picked me up from school. I hesitated before I answered, I hadn't much time to make up a lie. "Girl stuff, you know.." I mumbled. He turned the radio on, and hip hop music was playing. "Turn it off." I groaned. "It's my car." I gasped. "You mean dad's."
"Soon it will be mine, he will buy a new one." My eyes widened. My dad and a new car? "We ain't got money." I waited for an answer, but he sang along to some rap crap. I didn't hate it, but I was too pissed, to enjoy Drake's 'From Time'. "Turn the volume down at least." I said, but did it myself. "Now answer me, I asked you a question." He was pissed now. "He got the cash okay? Now shut up." He told and turned the volume up. I turned it down again. "How?" He rolled his eyes. "I don't know! Ask him." He turned it up again. I wanted to turn it off completely, but he slapped my hand away. "Ow!" I yelled in pain. "Are you insane?!" I punched him on the back of his head, which was a bad idea. We ended up in a physical fight; in the car!
"Watch out for the road!" I yelled, but it was too late. The car crashed into another one. Holy shit! Luckily the air bags saved us. I walked outside and found a man in the car. "Are you alright?" He nodded. "I'm so sorry.." I whispered, looking for help. He seemed okay, until he stepped out, and saw his Audi. He shook his head, "No!" I backed away, 'cause it looked like, he wanted to punch something. "What have you done?!" Tyrese appeared behind me, but kept his distance. He grabbed me by the arm, and dragged me with him. "Tyrese, what are you doing?!"
"Get out of here. He's gonna call the cops!" Great! I didn't think about it and ran. I felt bad for the man, but I wanted to save my ass.
When we got home, Tyrese and I checked for my parents, they were no where to be seen. "If mom and dad experience this, we will be hung!" I almost cried. Was I a bad person now? "Chill okay? They won't hear from this.." He was out of breath, so was I. We both jumped, when we heard some one knock on the door. "Don't." My brother whispered, in a shaky voice. "Tyrese? Open up, I forgot the keys." A familiar voice told. It was my dad! I was glad and scared at the same time. "Don't open your mouth, understand?" I nodded. He slowly opened up, his face had no expression. How did he do that? "Sup." My dad greeted us. "Y'all okay?" He asked, he wasn't suspicious, it was just something he always asked. I nodded, I was scared of saying something. I bet my voice would sound screechy.
"Where is your mother?" We both shrugged, I looked nervous, but Tyrese looked chilled. "You didn't pick her up with the car?" He began to ask. We both shook our head. I held my breath and counted my seconds of living. "Where is the car?" I swallowed my fear, but it wouldn't go away. Tyrese looked over to me, asking me for help with his wide eyes. "W-we lent it?"
"What?!" My dad and my brother asked in unison. What was I supposed to say? "Lent? What the hell is wrong with you?!" Better than knowing that your car has been damaged from an accident. The door bell was ringing, and I jumped a second time. I looked over to Tyrese, while I was slowly opening the door. He looked.. pale. "Hey.." It was Jess. How happy I was to see her. I tightly embraced her, before she even could say a thing. "I'm so sorry, that I was so mean to you and I am sorry that I ignored you. I really need you as my best friend!" I cried. More because of the accident. "It's okay.. I'm sorry too." She wrapped her arms around me. It felt good. "What's wrong?" My dad asked. "It's okay dad." I sobbed.
"Guys, do you know what I just saw?" Jess began, while she took her jacket off. "There was just an accident, a street away." My jaw dropped open. "R-really?" She nodded. "I think it was an Audi and an old silver Mercedes." I looked at her and gave her a warning look. "Do you want to come upstairs?" I faked a smile. "What kind of car?" My dad asked. He asked a lot. Now Jess realized, that there was something going on. "I think it was another car though. My eyes need glasses." She nervously laughed. My dad rushed to the door and left. Seconds later, I realized what could happen, if my dad saw the car. I hope it was already gone. "Jess!" Tyrese yelled. "It wasn't her fault!" I defended her. "I'm so sorry guys! How did that happen?" I shrugged. "We fought." Tyrese said. He dropped himself on the couch and covered his face, with one of my mothers pillow. "Put it away."
"That's it with my new car."
"There were polices all over-" I gave her a warning look, which made her shut up. "We're done." I dropped myself on the couch, next to my depressed brother. I released a long sigh. "I'm really sorry guys."
A few moments later, my dad came back. He was furious, I expected that. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" He slammed my brother against the wall. "Dad!" I yelled. "It wasn't his fault! It went so fast!"
"You will get a new one anyway." I added. "You escaped?" Now it was Tyrese' turn to explain. "We were scared."
"Of what? Aren't you man enough to handle this?! You fucking pussy!" Tyrese' eyes shut close, as a few drops of my father's spit landed on his face. "You stole.." He threw those words on my dad's face. "What?" He looked over to me. "Yes I told him." I coldly admitted. He was speechless now. Trying to find words. "Fuck off! Both of you!"

The next day, I had to go to the hospital. My mom went with me. She was calmer than I expected her to be, she forgave us. She was more worried about us. My dad had to pay for the accident, he couldn't afford the new car anymore. "I'm sorry mom." I almost whispered, when we waited in the waiting area. I skipped in my seat and looked around. It was very quiet. Only a few people waited here. "I'm going to take a piss." My mother told and got up. I only shook my head. "Leticia?" I heard a male voice say. It was Harry. Good that my mother was gone! "Harry? What are you doing here?"
"I'm waiting for Josephine and his dad, what about you? Are you alright?" I nodded. "I just had a little accident. Not dramatic.. I fell." I tried to make his the crease between his eyebrows go away. He was worried. "I'm seriously okay. I just need to get checked, that's it." I smiled.
"Why is Josephine here?" He sighed, "Her dad had a car accident yesterday.." My eyes widened. "Oh really.. I'm so sorry for him." Josephine's dad?! I couldn't tell Harry about this. What would he think, if I told him, that I was involved in the car crash with his fiancé's father? "Are you really okay?" I nodded, my eyes shifted o my mother, who was already out of the toilet. "Listen, my mom is coming, you need to go." I was kind of sounding harsh. "Please, not that I want to, but you really need to."
"Oh, okay.. was nice talking to you." He looked confused and disappointed. Did he really want to talk to me longer? I flashed him a quick smile, he did the same and than left. "Hey." I greeted my mother. "Who was that?"
"He works here." I lied, and grabbed the next best magazine and flickered through it.
