Chapter 13

Connors pov

It's been 3 days. She's not woken up yet. The doctor said she started breathing again but he won't let us in to see her. I've sat here for 72 hours on this hard plastic chair watching the world go round. I can't lose her. Lucy can't die. I know I shouldn't think about it but I just wouldn't be able to cope. She's helped me through a lot.

"Connor" a voice said. I believed it was brads. I looked up to see brad. He was pale white and looked miserable.

Brads pov

It's all my fault. Lucy could be dead. Why did I kiss her and tell her I love her? It's the truth that's why. I meant that kiss and I love her I do. I'm walking to the hospital right now. I need to see her. How could I do this to Connor my band member my best friend. I've ruined everything! What's gonna happen now? I guess we'll have to wait and hope for the best.

I arrived at the hospital and asked the receptionist where Lucy was she said no visitors where allowed but that there was a boy outside her room and that he'd been there 3 days. I knew it was Connor. I ran down the hallway and saw him. He looked a mess. I lent down beside his chair.

"Connor" I said. He looked up at me. I hugged him tight. He needs me. I can fix this. I can fix everything. Once Lucy gets out of here I'll look after her. Things can be normal. That's if she gets out of here.
"Do you think she's ok" Connor asked me weakly.
"I don't know I really don't but I'm praying she is ok" I say shaking my head and looking down to the ground. Lucys different to other girls. She's important, she's special, she's so beautiful.

Me and Connor sat together looking down at the ground. We stayed like this for hours.

Lucys POV

Pictures of Brad and Connor flashed through my head. I smiled and laughed. I opened my eyes slowly and looked around the room. It was a white room. My whole body was in pain. I looked to a bell on my bedside table and rang it. A nurse came running into my room within 2 minutes.
"Lucy so glad you're finally awake" she said typing things into the computer.
"Where... Where am I" i said trying to sit up.
"You're in the hospital hunny you're ok now just lie back down" the nurse said comforting. I began crying.
"How long have I been here" I asked.
"About 3 days" the nurse says.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
"You're very lucky you know" she said now fully focusing on me.
"There's two boys outside err one of them has been here for the full 3 days he hasn't moved and there's been a few other boys come to visit what are there names you must be close to this certain boy." The nurse said
"Connor is he outside can I see him please CONNOR CONNOR" I shouted.
"Woooah calm down" the nurse said.
I shot her a death glare.
"CONNOR" I shouted again.
"ITS ME LUCY CONNOR" I shouted.

Connors POV

Me and Brad had been sat looking at the ground for ages. Brad was now looking up in confusion. I looked at him to try work out what he was thinking and that's when I heard it. I heard her. Lucy. She was screaming my name. Maybe I was just imagining it but it sounds so real. I began to smile and Brad hugged me.
"Everything's gonna be ok" Brad whispered in my ear.
"I hope so" I said back.
"I promise you it will." Brad said.

Another nurse walked down the hallway and opened the door to Lucy's room. I could hear her sobbing.
"Err excuse me" I said to the nurse. She stopped walking and turned to me closing lucys door again.
"Can I see her" I mumbled.
"I'm afraid you can't right now but soon maybe" she said then opened the door again. Brad got up and began walking away.
"Where are you going" I asked Brad.
"I have to leave" Brad said.
"No you don't" I said.
"BRAD, CONNOR" lucy said. Everyone looked at her. She looked so weak but yet so cute. I smiled. Then the nurse closed the door and I noticed Brad was gone. I looked around he was at the exit, I ran down the hall and grabbed his arm.
"Tell me everything right now" I said.
