There is no light, no ray of hope shining down upon the chains of misery, The darkness, it wraps its bitter cold hands around one's body, grasping for any of the remaining sanity that lays within her mind. Just as her body lay almost lifelessly in the dark cellar, the darkness slowly trying consuming her whole. She breathes heavily, her chest rising and falling with labored breaths, eyes wide open, or so she believes them to be, for the room is layered with the tormenting darkness. So how could she tell if her eyes are open? It seeps into her being, once again grasping at her, trying to pull her away and drag her into its endless abyss, filling her mind with disgusting thoughts. Thoughts of giving in, of finally giving up her sanity. Years of pain and misery. Why hadn't she given up?

"No." Her voice is but a husky whisper, in deep fear her captor will hear. If they find any trace of light or hope within the captured girl, it will be over with before it even started. Her nails claw at the freezing cold stone that her sore body lays upon. The chains attached to her scarred wrists gently cling as she pulls them tighter. "I can't." She breathes while using every ounce of energy left. With everything she forces her beaten body to slowly emerge from the cold ground that she has been laying upon for days,or so she thinks, time has no trace in the darkness. There is nothing but a deep throbbing pain throughout her body as she slowly begins to realize. Realize Every passing moment is a moment of misery and a moment of doubt, yet she realizes that these moments that pass her by are ones in which she could be free. Free from this suffering, free from the heavy chains that have cut deep into her skin and have stained her wrists a dark green. Free from the darkness that poisons the air around her. "I have to." As she shuts her eyes the girl can picture it. Picture her freedom, picture herself out of this damp dungeon, back where she belongs, by his side.

"What do you think you are doing?" A snarky voice echoes throughout the room, a voice the girl will never be able to forget. A voice that will haunt her forever. It pierces her ears causing her head to scream, and her body to fill with a burning rage. That's all it takes. Years of her untameable rage and anger spills out of her, breaking the darkness, burning it's every toxic trait. There is no corner safe as flames burn brighter than the sun itself, consume the room and everything in it. Eliminating the darkness forever, and freeing her at last.
