Hello! I decided to write a Fruits Basket story since the reboot recently came out. I've watched the 2001 version and read the manga as well, but it's been a while.
I'm a huge fan of the characters and story, and I really love the quotes in it. It made me think twice about a lot of things. After watching the show and reading the manga, it made me look at life a little bit differently.
I've been watching the reboot every week, and I'm just like... It's so beautiful and nostalgic. Hands down one of my favorite animes/manga of all time.

The title of the story means both of Tohru and Emi's names. Tohru = to be transparent, Emi = smile.
Before proceeding to the story, I'm going to introduce my OC, Emi Honda. Plus her best friend in the story.
Emi Honda is Tohru's younger sister by two years. She has brown hair at shoulder length. Instead of bangs like Tohru, she has a fringe. She has brown eyes just like her sister. Her style is more tomboy, but dresses cute at times when she feels like it. She has a kind heart like Tohru, but not to the point where she lets others take advantage of it. She and Tohru are very close, and would do anything to protect her, knowing her older sister is much more naive and innocent than her. She has an artistic side that she isn't too confident about.

Sumire Irie, Emi's best friend. She has long, wavy chestnut hair and violet eyes. Her name means violet. She's a complete girly girl unlike Emi, but the two complement each other. She pushes Emi in a positive way, having her do things that Emi usually shys away from. She's grateful for what Emi has done for her in the past, and tries to help her anyway she can. Throughout the story, she is either teasing Emi in a playful way or supporting Emi. She is also talented with the piano.
