waking up felt like literal hell

his whole body was reverberating in pain, and he really wasn't in the mood to hear ki barking down the hall upon seeing Dylan's eyes open. Dylan immediately reached to grip his head but was pushed into the bed by a familiar blonde boy. Thomas. Thomas had practically leapt on him the second he got into the room, letting out a softened sigh into Dylan's nape.

"Hello to you to..." Dylan grumbled, it was gruff and turned Thomas on more than he'd like to admit

"you aren't allowed to go on runs anymore..."

"Thomas..."

yet Thomas didn't want to hear Dylan's answer unless it was an agreement, so he stopped Dylan's words with his nose snuggling deeper into the brunette's neck.

"please.." he britt's voice had come out small and pleading, taking effect on Dylan's emotions.

"please," he repeated; "please." the whisper fell upon Dylan's skin, and he shivered against the blonde. "okay... okay."

"Promise me."

"I promise."

thomas had found satisfactory in the answer... laying a peck against the neck of his dearest.

dylan was screwed up... pretty badly. broken hand, shattered fingers, a ripped up leg and a bruised body. his body had healed... somewhat during his week of slumber. ava had even given him two months to heal from this all, especially since everything hurt his hand. let's say the two boys were a little bit more than frustrated... but it was neither one or the others fault. They couldn't even touch each other because Thomas positively did not need Dylan coming into the dumb ER for some wild make out mishap.

Dylan's hand was healing ordinarily, despite the fractures. surprisingly, it looked like only his pointer finger would heal sort of crooked. which was... very clearly a miracle. Dylan's leg would always be scarred, and for a pretty long time, it'd need to be watched. they'd managed to get all the exploded bullet shards out, and Thomas was more than delighted to help Dylan heal.

to just sit there with his dearest, making the stupidest jokes... seeing Dylan's lovely face scrunch in hilarity is what Thomas needed in his day.

and if you're wondering how Dylan had gone from his best friend... to his dearest... well, Thomas realized just how much Dylan had meant to him. it was wild how much Dylan's existence meant to Thomas... but then again, just some people you can't lose.
