Yandere!Sweet Pea warning
SweetVeeThe bell, signaling the last hour of school was over finally rang. Students rushing out the doors and to their lockers ready for the weekend. Veronica gathered her things slowly, buzzing with happiness that it was finally the weekend and she'd get to hang out with Betty after school. Grabbing the last of her things she made her way to her locker, spotting a familiar 6'3 serpent beside it.
The serpents had moved to Riverdale just after Christmas when Southside High shut down. She had tried to welcome them as best as she could even befriending a few like Toni.
Sweet Pea was harder to crack, but he was nice to her. He always helped her carry her books to class, and overall he was sweet. She didn't believe the rumors that surrounded him. He was a teenager just like everyone else at Riverdale High.
"Hey Sweet Pea," Veronica chirped up, smiling up at him, and opening her locker.
"Hey," he smiled, "Do you want me to walk you home?"
That was another thing, Sweet Pea always walked Veronica home or drove her home, but tonight she was going to Betty's and she was walking with her.
"Actually Betty's walking me home, but Monday you definitely can," Veronica said, placing her things into her locker.
"Oh," his face dropped, "Alright," he mumbled.
She didn't notice. "I'll see you later though," and with that Veronica left leaving Sweet Pea there.
He watched her walk away, his fingers digging into his palm as she joined up with Betty. If there was one thing Sweet Pea knew it was that,
Veronica was his.
And he didn't like to share what was his. He didn't even care that Betty was a girl. Sweet Pea would get his point across, he'd already taken care of Mantle and Andrews. It seemed as if Cooper was next on his list.
Veronica linked arms with Betty as they walked the short distance from Riverdale High and to her house. It seemed as if it'd been forever since she'd spent time with Betty. Considering Archie was now avoiding her as if she were the plague with no explanation. She wasn't going to let that bother her though, she had plenty of friends.
It wasn't until later that night that things went south.
"I'm Vee, my mom texted me she wants me to go to the register really quick I'll be right back," Betty said, hoping off the bed and putting on a pair of converse.
"Oh," Veronica frowned, "alright, be quick."
Betty nodded, before leaving the house, wrapping a jacket tightly around her. She walked down the street breathing heavily from the cold. Betty could feel eyes watching her and she started to pick up speed, scared of what could be out. She was leaving the quiet neighborhood when she felt someone grab her and the cold metal of a switch blade was pressed to her throat. Not enough to draw blood.
Sweet Pea had a large smirk on his face, pressing the knife closer to her neck, "I'm going to tell you once," he growled. "Stay away from Veronica, or next time I won't only use a knife."
Betty instantly recognized his voice, "Swe-Sweet Pea?" She asked shakily.
"In the flesh," he turned Betty harshly around, the blade still pointing at her neck. "How about we play a game?"
"W-Wha?" She was trembling like a leaf.
Sweet Pea brought the blade down onto her arm, pushing through her thin coat and slashing her arm.
She let out a scream, "you psycho!"
"We're just getting started," he snarled, pushing her onto the ground.
He put his foot on top of her stomach holding her down against the concrete.
The more she struggled, the harder he pushed his foot down onto her, and he could hear the crack of her ribs.
"Stay away from Veronica," he snarled, putting most of his weight onto his foot.
"N-No!" Betty was Veronica's friend, and she'd never let this psycho near her.
"I guess you'll just learn the hard way, maybe I can take your life too," he said, holding up the blade, it shined in the moonlight. "Just like I did that one Bulldog What was his name again?" He asked taunting her, "Trevor was it?"
Betty's eyes widened the size of disks, he was the one who killed Trevor, but why? He'd only talked to Veronica a handful of times. She knew Sweet Pea would kill her, he'd obviously done it before and wasn't afraid of it. Suddenly Betty felt a shock run through her body. While she'd been frozen Sweet Pea had lodged the switch blade into her stomach.
"I didn't want to do this Betty, but" he pulled the blade out, and she could feel another rush of pain. "Veronica is mine," he stabbed her again, closer to her heart.
Sweet Pea had a deranged look in his eyes, as the life flooded from Betty. One less person that was in his way from having Veronica to himself. His sweet, lovely, beautiful Veronica.
He lifted Betty's body, she was still breathing when he carried her to the sewers. Dropping her bleeding body down next to Trevor's dead one. He was more mutilated, and it made Betty churn.
He watched her, until her last breath ran out, before he left, and cleaning the switch blade in the river near by.
Betty couldn't have Veronica, Archie couldn't, Reggie couldn't, Toni couldn't, nobody could. Except him and he was going to make sure of that. She was his shining star, and he'd be damned if he let someone take his light away.
Veronica Lodge would belong to no one else, expect him.
