Sunday night in the fall, working on a new cover with my guitar in hand and the microphone by my lips.
"Shawn! Shawn! Shawn!" my younger sister yelled while banging on my door.
I immediately opened it, prepared to see what was so terribly exciting to her.
"Sammy Wilk is coming to a school near us!" She shouted. "Don't know which school but its going to be in the same city as us!"
I rolled my eyes and went back to my little studio corner. "You're like barely a freshman why are you obsessing over some random older guy from the Internet. Get over it."
In my own opinion, I really disliked the guy. He doesn't even sing that good, I don't know he made it. Top it off, is he a blonde or what? His hair looks blonde but I'm sure it's light brown. Not to mention his eyelashes. Why so curled. Fake muscles too. Geez this guy. What the fuck is a Wilkinson?
"Shawn! I'm trying to talk to you. Stop drifting off!" Aliyah yelled. "You need to take me to Sammy's school tomorrow! He's announcing which school he goes to. Please!"
"Rather not." I whispered. "But for you. Fine." Everyone knows I'm a caring brother, as much as I despise Sammy, I love my sister. If this makes her happy then well I can't say no.
"I just going to drop you off. I don't want to even see the guy." I patted her back, leading her out the door.
I continued to strum my guitar and think about life.
One day I will be on top.
I will have my own audience.
One day everyone will accept me.
I will have the world.
One day.
